Submitted 3 years, 5 months ago by

A part the general principle, is there any detail about how much you get from a win and how do you get rewards from progress ?

I would like to know figures not "philosophy" - tks

We just have to wait, people that believe in actibliz will tell you, that they're not releasing hard data because they are still tweaking the numbers, people like me believe they are reluctant to release hard data because they don't want the uproar to taint the hype for the new expansion, and decrease preorder sales.

    Living like that.

And the people who are neither a fanboy/fangirl nor a cynic choose to assume nothing. It makes no practical difference whether we learn the minutiae today or on the 17th November. We can grumble about it or sing its praises then, and in the meantime we can do mental states a favour by not worrying too much about it.

I am pretty relaxed. Lets just wait and see. I hope it will be fine, if not and the new system is much worse than the current one I will simply stop playing HS. After all there are a lot of other games around.

English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes

yeah, I'm pretty sure we won't get any information until maybe a few days before the new reward system launches.

I personally don't think we have any reason to be nervous about the new system. If it is greedy and stringent so that you need to pay money to keep up, then blizzard won't make money, they will just lose customers. And they know this. The people at blizzard aren't stupid, they want their game to be better, more accessible, and feel more rewarding to play.

Blizzard doesn't want to make things worse, and we have no reason to believe that they do. They are implementing a new system because it will be better, and if it doesn't work out that way, I am confident that they will fix it. Blizzard wants more people to play the game, not less, that is why they have been making so many positive changes this year.

Yes, the first reward system they showed us was bad, but we told them so and they listened and revamped it. Have some faith that the people at Blizzard know what they are doing.

No exact numbers yet, only speculations based on some screenshots that are floating around.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/jhfb08/reward_tracktavern_pass_rewards_by_level/

If this table is anywhere close to be correct, things don't look promising for dedicated F2P players. Even paying players who make small pre-order each expansion are in trouble. Gold rewards will be pretty scarce, so it'll all come down to how fast can you reach level 50 and how much time will be needed to grind levels past it.

With so little information we can't exactly say anything actually. Might as well just wait 2 weeks and find out. If its bad, then we riot. If its good, then we breathe a sigh of relief.

The only thing that we know for sure is that mini expansions is going to be a feature from now on, so if the rewards aren't slightly upped then its almost always a net down for the small FTP player.

I think that's why they're adding so many free packs in the rewards, so that FTP players have a chance to get more packs as the season progresses and get the new cards since they have that no duplicate rule

That's assuming that these packs are truly given for free, that is to say that they are not counted into the total amount of gold obtainable (not counting the excess past the level cap) in the reward track.

Obviously we are speculating at this point. Let's just wait and see. I'm still somewhat optimistic that with LoR being immensely more generous and not exactly a slouch itself, hearthstone would respond by setting the total gold obtainable in the new system at least on par with the old system (after mini expansion taken into consideration)

I'm sorry, I didn't quite understood what you're trying to say here. I guess it's something about information released from Blizzard about new system is not final?

If that's the case, then what do you think, why don't we have full transparent information about the new progression system two weeks before it's implementation into the game? It's not like it's THE most important change ever to be made to the game since it's release. Oh wait, it is.

They aren't adding free packs, the are replacing gold rewards with packs. Big difference.

If they want to give F2P players "a chance to get more packs", they need to give them gold, not packs. Especially not packs from past expansions.

But, like I said before, it still needs to be seen how fast will be possible to reach lvl 50 and how much time will be needed to get to each level after it and will there be a level cap and at what point. Let's just say I'm not very optimistic about it.

Now this is a pure speculation. We have only to wait and see, wait and see.

JUST have some fucking patience if its bad we will se eit ,if its good we will see that aswell.

And as angry shuckle said it doesnt matter if we learn about it now or in weeks right befre comes out

I think you give them too much credit :D

    • The new ladder system is not F2P friendly.
    • When new content is added, it is usually OP - new BG heroes are only available to those that pay for a pass.
    • Duels is only available to those that purchased a bundle.

I don't think they want F2P. They want people to think they're getting a good deal. That is, hiding the good stuff away from F2P.

They do need to make money, they can't give it away.
