It turns out it might have indeed been a little too soon to start celebrating Lunar New Year (set to begin on February 12) with Hearthstone. The special legendary quest chain rewarding packs went live the other day, but... apparently not for everyone. Even among those who did receive it, the follow-up parts to play Duels and Standard didn't seem to always show up correctly. Looks like the current patch had a few more issues in store for us, after all.

We have had several community members report their problems in the comments and on Discord, with even more examples pouring in through Reddit. If you have been personally affected, do not worry just yet. While you could file a bug report through the official forums or try to contact Support, there should be no need to do so at this point; We do advise patience.
There has been no official word on the subject from any English channels so far, but thanks to ZelKnow on Twitter we got word from the Chinese operator of Hearthstone. (Translation below)

We will not take back the rewards for completing the quests. At the same time, players who have not yet received the New Year’s quest, please be patient. This pretty much confirms our suspicions that the questline wasn't supposed to roll out just yet. In retrospect, it does make sense as the predicted date was off. There was no official announcement as there always is, and the official Hearthstone Twitter kept silent as well. We were also expecting themed bundles and hero skins to arrive around the same time. It turns out at least some of us will have to wait a little longer to celebrate as intended, but hopefully, this clears the confusion!

Got a legendary, a golden epic, an epic and a golden rare on my last pack. So.... That was worth it...
I got all three quests, so my lunar new year not only seems to be super early, but also super lucky :D

Whipped thought them all Friday. Got nothing from packs, but played duels to an 8 win run, and found out that's worth a lot of xp. Neat!

I wonder why no official statement yet. Not like they didnt see ppl talk about it online. And its not something they should feel the need to "keep quiet".
