I don't play Runeterra

Today I'm earning Suriman Securi instead of Quillboar Tuskaroons. I do not play Runeterra and have no use for this currency. I do, however, play Hearthstone (only) and am feeling sad about not getting currency I can use. Is there a way I can convert currency, or somehow tell the site to only give me Tuskaroons?
I realize this is super whiny, boo-hoo I want free internet stuff, etc. However, there are pack bundles worth $50 on the line, and that ain't nothing.

You can still buy headers and forum titles with the Securi you earn, but if neither are your thing they will be converted into Gold after the event (just like your unused Tuskaroons). No way to convert it during the site event.
Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I guess what I'm wondering now is, am I getting fewer Tuskaroons because I'm getting Securi? Or would I be earning both at the same rate either way? At the time I posted, I had ONLY gotten Securi so far today, but I have since gotten some Tuskaroons too.

The droprates should be independent of each other. Based on the transactions on my shop window, I've been getting them in pretty much 1:1 ratio today so at least I haven't noticed any issues with the coexistence of the systems.
Should you notice any weird behavior that can't be explained with the magic of RNG or hitting your daily cap for either currency, let us know and we'll investigate further.

In all seriousness: as Frosty says, the concept is for both events to run concurrently without either detracting from each other. We appreciate that not everyone plays every game (personally, I haven't played HS in months), but auto-including everyone in both still just felt like the best approach. If nothing else, you can still play the LoR Word Search and either buy some fun Runeterra-themed headers and forum titles or wait for it to be converted to gold.

Chiming in to confirm this is the case. We could run 20 events on the site at the same time, and each currency would still have its own probabilities from appearing when you look at a new page on the site.

Honestly, I don't know how people keep up with multiple games! Between work and family, I only have so much time every day for gaming, so I bank it all into Hearthstone (which I love). I manage to keep up with the game in terms of both earning in-game rewards and spending real money because I don't invest time and money into other games.

I can't even keep up with 1 as a player so it's no surprise that people find it tough to play 2 or even 3.
I've got a lot of Hearthstone battle pass grinding to do ths month. A lot.

Logged in today with nothing, got 4 quillboar points in a row, without actually trying to get anything, checked the shop and saw that the header i wanted was priced at 5, clicked random things to get points, got 5 runeterra points in a row. Was about to give up, because i didn't care that much and finally got my last one. I think there should be an option to opt in to which points you get, because, and i don't know if it actually works this way or really care even. But it feels they're more of a hinderence than something that someone like me who doesn't play runeterra, has as an obstacle.
It's like walking down the street and seeing a coin on the ground, you pick it up thinking it's a quarter, but it's actually canadian money or something else that is worthless to you. Except with this it stops you from receiving the currency you actually care about.
Living like that.

You can earn both points at the same time, neither of them cancel each other out or change the odds of earning each other. I explained this above as did other staff members.
It's pretty easy to just ignore the whole thing tbh, it isn't incredibly in your face with alarm bells and imagery, the only things you'll ever see is a toast a few times a day and the top promo slot on the site which is going to be something Runterra anyway. Know that the currency will convert over to a generic currency, Gold, when the event concludes so it is at least worth earning.
I could make stuff opt-out, but I really don't want to do that. Everyone is a part of the same community here and we're all having a bit of fun with it. If it was actually causing people harm, I'd have a different stance on it and wonder why we did it in such a way that was going to do that.
