The new Rewards Track for Hearthstone's upcoming expansion, Forged in the Barrens, will feature two different The Coin cosmetics.
Obviously, they are expansion-themed and, once obtained, can be set as favorite in your in-game Collection Manager.
Just like with Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, these cosmetics are obtainable following these instructions:
- The first one will be rewarded after completing the first 90 levels of the Rewards Track with the Tavern Pass.
- The second one will be rewarded after collecting 135 unique Forged in the Barrens cards.
Note that a 35 card Mini-Set for Forged in the Barrens is on the way, so that second Achievement will become much easier once there are 170 to collect in total! We’ll have more information available on the Forged in the Barrens Mini-Set in the coming months.

Looking at the requirement for the Scholomance coin, does anyone get the sense that Blizzard had originally intended the second coin to be a reward for collecting all the cards in an expansion, but forgot to count the cards in the mini set, and they can't change now because think of the rage? Not that I'm complaining more cosmetics for all lol

All alternate coins are purely cosmetics. They don't change the game at all.

Looking forward to that Horde coin. I like these cosmetics this time. Shouldn't be too hard to get either. I think I got the darkmoon one after the mini-set dropped.

I’m happier with these than I expected. The Darkmoon Coins were both just “Coins with some purple”, and I was sure that after a few sets came out, it would be very difficult to tell them all apart. But one of the Barrens coins is obviously Barrens-related, and the Scholomance Coin has a kitty!
At this rate, it seems like these will be worth collecting after all.
I definitely agree with you - the DM Faire coins are very similar.
Does anyone else get the feeling that these 'Mini sets' are blizzards solution to less and less people buying into the themed story modes which give out cards. Instead they just say, if you want them, come buy em?
Probably, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. The solo content was widely regarded to be disappointing, and I hated having to grind through it to unlock cards. The mini sets are reasonably priced, they shake up the meta, and they offer “advanced” features (like mixing the keywords across different sets) that Blizzard is intentionally holding back in the simpler main sets. It’s all good.

Like for naxx at time if played paly only and wher ejust inrettsed in avenga had to wait till final wing released and then beat KT for a set of commosn (80dust) and basicly ahd to pay 2800 gold for it.
Yeah I totally agree, I almost found it a chore grinding through story mode.

I really want the cat coin from Scholomance, but Scholomance doesn't have mini set, so that coin is really hard to get.
