Wild Deck In Progress - Reno N'Zoth Priest

Submitted 4 years, 11 months ago by

I've been running this deck for many expansions and tweaking it as new cards become available.  Still very much a work in progress but I'm liking several of the new cards but will have to see the rest of the new expansion set and test drive it some before settling on the deck list.  Here's what I've got so far:

While I loved that deck back in the days before the first Standard's rotation, I've sadly discovered that it's not a competitive one in Wild (and I've moved there primaly for keep playing it): too slow and without a real finisher. Other options are way more efficient. As a fun and almost meme-ish deck it keeps giving me some amazing moment but I'll not recomend it for climbing the Ladder.

Your list is very greedy and without many tools to keep at last aggro in check while you move towards the late game. You'll probably find yourself stucked with high-cost cards into your opening hand and you don't have any draw engine to cycle through the deck, leaving you hoping for a lucky draw each turn.

I made Legend with a pre-Shadows version of this deck in March.  And you say no aggro tools? There are plenty.  Explosive Sheep, Deathlord, Spirit Lash, Greater Healing Potion, Mass Hysteria, etc.  The pre-Shadows version of this deck performs extremely well against aggro decks.  The only deck it struggles against are Mill decks.

You've got 5 cards to deal with aggro. Everything else cost more than 6 mana and against some very aggressive deck it may be too late at that point. The main issue is that without any card draw if you can't find any tool in your starting hand, you can only hope in luck or you are screwed.

Against control and midrange, it's a very solid deck considering all the value in it.

On the other side combo will probably smash you (but that's the whole point of combo decks to deal with slow control ones).

You don't seem to understand how the deck works.  Per Hearthstone Deck Tracker, the pre-RoS versions of this deck have a 78.4% win percentage against what I'd consider aggro decks over the past two months.
