Wild Warrior deck to hopefully do ok into Questline Warlock

Submitted 2 years, 8 months ago by

After my OoC success of finding a Hunter deck to deal with Darkglare, the news of The Demon Seed making it look like child's play had me going for an attempt to make a deck that can do alright into it without being a full-on Aggro or fast OTK, just as a present for Control players. :D

Have you tested it? How does it play?

Unfortunately, I do not have a very big collection as I stated in the guide and my previous Questline Warlock deck's. This is purely my theorycraft, but I hope people can play it and improve on the concept, especially since the deck's relatively cheap at 6.6k dust.

I don't get it, how does it beat Warlock? They don't fatigue damage and you're just going to run out of armor eventually, unless your plan is to keep copying Albatross to keep them from taking fatigue and then just grind out the turn limit.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

Basically that. You shuffle in Albatrosses to deny their possibility of killing you with Fatigue, and for value generation, you have Scorpid. I may consider Dr. Boom, Mad Genius or Boom Squad to amp up the value generation and make you win. The Warlock's overall power level imo leaves little to no room for an OTK for any control deck, leaving these grindy gameplans as the option. Again, this is still in need of actual testing to possibly find a way to deal with this monstrosity for every subtype of player, and this is what I've come up with so far - maybe I need less removal.

I mean, I like the idea, but I don't think you can rely on surviving until you empty your deck and then getting the perfect hand to recycle while also running the Warlock out of ressources completely.

Pretty sure you're still better off just trying to race them with aggro, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment when the Warlock eventually just keeps dealin chip damage with the tiny Albatrosses to break your Bulwark while also emptying their deck faster than you can play Albatross. I mean, even with the perfect setup you'd still have at least one or two turns inbetween Albatrosses in the lategame whereas Warlock draws two cards per turn (and every Hero power deals damage as well). You'd have to have obscene amounts of armor at that point to even have the chance of boring them to death, otherwise they'll just play it out to spite you.
