So I was thinking that all ths buff support would go great with Inner Fire, and here they go and print an even better version (tempo wise). Kind of makes me concerned for how hard Priest can snowball now. If you go first and drop a Frazzled Freshman you get a turn 2 6/6 that makes Hunter's Arcane Anomaly look like a bitch by comparison.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Getting reduced the cost with Palm Reading, you can Power Word: Fortitude x2, Power Word: Feast x2, Bless on Mr. Smite for a 21dmg combo, we need Divine Spirit for a consistent otk. :(
Elekk Mount can be the savior, the Xyrella's Elekk is a good stated minion that can survive and be buffed.

Inner Fire is back! Mr. Smite OTK Priest incoming?
Inner Fire is back, and i'm pretty sure no one is happy to see it. There was a reason Inner Fire was Hall of famed, and it was because it limited card design for priest. After all any (cheap) big health minion was too scary to print for priest, so it's surprising that they reprint it with a build in +2 health.
There are going to be plenty of people salty from losing the game after letting a low health minion survive again.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Inner Fire decks are now more consistent.
New Inner Fire. This will find it's way into an OTK somehow.
You know team5, you don't have to keep printing the same cards over and over. Just give us Inner Fire. Bless might be slightly better in that it is a +2+2 more, but no one is being fooled, its inner fire.
And for that reason, Im hyped up at the possible strats and whether it'll yet again break the game.
Checks notes... nope, still prefer Topsy Turvy in my Gnomeregan Infantry OTK Priest.
Also, with Shadow Word: Nibble around, you can really punish your opponent for having a board.
PS: How do I make it so the site shows Shadow Word: Devour when I say Shadow Word: Nibble using the [card*] (minus the *) tag? You know, the same way I did with Topsy Turvy or Gnomeregan Infantry.

It's no Divine Spirit + Inner Fire combo but I'm sure it'll be tested out in a variety of decks. Maybe a miracle priest that utilises Nazmani Bloodweaver and Sethekk Veilweaver

Maybe this is the return of combo priest, but one doesn't know
Arguably a better Inner Fire. This is exactly the kind of card that could make a Silence Priest viable - Humongous Razorleaf on 3 into Focused Will + Bless gives you a 13/13 on turn 4. That's the kind of wacky BS tempo play that pushed Edwin VanCleef out of Standard. I also appreciate that, unlike Inner Fire, Bless actually fits into more than just combo decks, as it can often be a 2-mana +4/+2 (or higher) buff on an average Priest minion, and it radically changes how I think about Shadow Word: Devour.
I like that it could potentially be used defensively as well as offensively. Albeit will still be a 3 attack minions on the other side. Probably a lot better than something ridiculous.
Feels like combo priest will be back on the menu.
This will be a staple card for priest. If you can put this on Samuro, you can practically guarantee a board clear on almost anything. Even just getting it to stick on a mediocre minion to combo it with Apotheosis will make for some big plays.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
So it's like Inner Fire, except they added a little bit when they increased the Cost. We're probably looking at something that enables an OTK or doesn't see play.
I have spoken.
Not sure if I'd rather play this over Inner Fire in Wild/Solo Heroic completions, but a solid stand alone buff card.

I don't mind seeing Inner Fire return for a bit. It's a cool combo that probably restricted designs a bit, but having something similar in an expansion feels alright.

Inner Fire strikes back. Combo Priest is back with a vengeance.
Bit more expensive Inner Fire, but has a small buff to go with it. Seems strong.
