That's a strong card. 8-mana rush that can give you 13/13 stats on the board the turn it's played? I don't see any downside to this other than the meta being too fast for it to see play.
Wow that's a AMAZING Minion. Great for control AND BIG paladin! You get so many stats for 8 mana and taunt. Its amazing!
The only problem with it is that you have to survive until turn 8. But with the new hero card that should be doable. (Also turn 7 hero card into turn 8 tempar captain seems pretty good to me.)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
It's like Inquisitor for Paladin. Big instant payoff and even bigger payoff if it lives. Also a huge buff to Cenarion Ward.

It was awful.
BIG PALADIN BABY! Great with Commencement and Vanndar Stormpike, but the deck misses more removal tools like Big Warrior has. Hope it works out. Immediately started thinking about a big/control warrior this would fit in:
High mana cost minions are so difficult to predict. The effect seems pretty amazing, but I'm not sure how easy it will be to get to a point that it is playable. Paladin does have decent control tools, so maybe it becomes feasible.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.

Its not a bad card, but its too...normal, I guess would be the correct term.
There's plenty of good 8 mana cards that would go past this anytime, like Turalyon, the Tenured, Tirion Fordring, Varian, King of Stormwind, Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece, or even just Yrel, assuming you can trigger her battlecry.
It might find a place in big paladin but in nearly everywhere else, I just think its outclassed. Its an 8 mana card after all, so to be even considered for inclusion you'd have to be really special. And if tirion is having a hard time fitting, what makes this any better?
8 for an 8/8 punch to a minion that gives you a 5/5 wall.. what isn't to like?
Incredibly big body and makes the 8 drop pool better. Not sure if this will ever get to see play unless there's a meta change though.
8 mana to kill a minion and leave behind a 5/5 taunt and an 8/somthing... Paladin already has these cards (Varian, Yrel) and doesn't play them. 5 health taunt on 8 isn't saving you either, Uther.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
On par with King Rush.
Arena: Pick this every chance you get. You won't regret it.
Constructed: This is how insane 8 mana cards need to be these days to even be considered. But will this make it into any optimized lists? I highly doubt it.
Arena > Wild > Standard

Well on the one hand, if this ever hits the field against aggro, it's ggs for them since this just pumps out big ol taunts in the way every time it trades.
On the other hand, getting to 8 mana is a big ask, so really limited to slower decks like Librams.

This will be a must kill. Hope you have a removal spell handy because this will probably fill the board with taunts if it sticks. It doesn't even have to kill a minion, not that it will matter a lot with 8 attack.
That's a big boy, and could honestly be the best 8-Drop Paladin has. Big Paladin is experiencing a bit of a renaissance thanks to Vanndar, and this gives the deck yet another expensive minion that would love to have its cost discounted. The only downside is that it can't come back from N'Zoth.

When we see a late game stat bomb that's fast and can snowball insanely hard and yet everyone thinks "yeah, that seems balanced", we know the game has gone through a huge increase in power.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)

That makes for a strong wing turn - from nothing on board to an 8/8 (minus health loss following the rush attack) + a taunty 5/5 - your face is now safe(r)

This minion will be MVP in arena. Really great value and you don't even need to kill the enemy minion, just attack. Only time with will be bad is playing it on an empty board, so definitely more of a savior card that can turn the tide in your favor.

Wow, very powerful and awesome big minon, leaving a second body with taunt is just bonkers
Seems really good, but I share the concerns that even this isn't strong enough for an optimised list. Maybe in a proper Big Paladin where you need as many big options as you can get.

Slots nicely into Big Paladin. Huge value for one single card and has rush too.
Very strong card, specially if you can cheat it out into the board. Will surely see play in most Paladin decks.
