Recent change to video ads?

Hi team, did something about your video ads change this week? I know this is an important part of site revenue, but it's suddenly covering almost a third of the screen, and the X isn't always reachable.
As of last week, my Android device showed one footer video per URL, now I have to close the thing up to 9 times per article!
And I also understand the inclination to recommend a premium subscription, but at this particular moment that feels like rewarding user-unfriendly behavior.

I'm going to need to see some screenshots of what you're seeing so I can better understand what you're talking about as far as the sizing goes. We did indeed change video ad providers to an in-house solution from our ad network as a test case so there are still some things being ironed out.
Before I make a report though, I do need to see some screenshots to get a better idea of your experience and I need you to confirm that everything mentioned in your post is happening now and not something that happened yesterday as the unit is being rapidly iterated on as issues pop up.

Sent links via message. Thanks for all your hard work on OOC. I know testing on all/many devices is not feasible.
The screenshots don't really capture that in the time it took me to type this response (maybe 65 seconds), I've had to X out of 4 ads that appear right over my words.
That was not happening last week. May the iterative improvements continue!
We are pushing out a deploy now and we're going to be reverting to our original video ad provider.
We'll probably give the new unit a shot again in the future but its still too early and problems need to be worked out. I know our ads are annoying but they keep the site online and my, hopeful, goal is that ads we do display aren't a major pain in the ass.

I wanted to create a similar thread, but the topic starter beat me to it. I visit OoC quite often daily and I understand ads are a big part of income for keeping the site up and running. That is why I hesitated at first when I also experienced the same annoying video ads issue and now the issue is already addressed. Kudos!
