Yes, Mech Mage surely will make a comeback and this card looks very good!
2 Mana 3/2 is decent on it`s own and the ability makes this even stronger!

Basically Sightless Watcher but with an upside. As with all the other Mech cards, it depends entirely on the Core set.
Does mean that Mage finally has a solid Minion shell and doesn't need to fill their deck with Neutral cards whenever they want to play Big Spells.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Definitely core in mech mage for gas. Drawing a minion while developing a 3/2 body is very good. Flexible enough that you can pick burn instead of mech as a finisher.
Oh very nice mech mage support that will 100% see play coz Trench Surveyor has decent stats, low cost with basically the discover mechanic from your deck. Mech mage will most likely have a few mechs, so most times you'll draw the mech you want.

Sightless Watcher but more flexible because it can instantly draw a card. That seems really good. You could also compare this to Harbor Scamp but for mechs and Trench Surveyor has +1 attack... in mech decks. This has to be a must-include in any mech mage decks.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
3/2 draw a card. Yes this will see play.
Assuming of course that we even see mech mage at all. Something tells me we'll be seeing a lot of nagas, wildfires, and spell mage before mech mage even gets a chance at that top tier meatball and spaghetti
Pseudo-Harbor Scamp for Mech Mage, which is obviously very good. The Dredge makes it both better (you potentially get to pick what Mech you draw) and worse (you might not see a Mech) than the Scamp, but this is obviously a very good card for Mech Mage and gives me hope that the archetype will be a real contender in the upcoming meta.

Sightless Watcher was always on the precipice of maybe being playable. So, even if you whiff, it's still an okay card. The potential upside of a 3/2 tutor - not just draw, but tutor - puts this into the A tier. The only way this is bad is if Mechs are bad.

This should go nice with Azsharan Sweeper. It doesn't seem very good on curve, but still looks like decent support for Mech Mage.
Tutoring is always good, even more so when attached to a decent body and a cool tribe tag that gives everyone a nostalgic flashback. Looking forward to this!
