New Neutral Minion - Blademaster Okani

Hmm interesting. Counterspell for a spell or minion on a body. This seems good, but only as long as your opponent isn't able to kill it immediately. It's way better on a empty board or when protected by a taunt minion. 

Still the fact that Blademaster Okani is so flexible makes Okani a lot better. I'm looking forward to playing around with Okani and seeing how good this "neutral Counterspell" really is.

Hard to evaluate. It's really strong against these greedy decks that only run specific minions like Ramp Druid or Questline Hunter. Can easily delay these powerplays or even set up a Mutanus or just waste ressources in general.

Then again, any tech card that can be interacted with usually isn't as good as the straightforward ones.

It's  hard for me to like this card at all since it's  at best similar to a 4 mana 2/6 draw a card. Such a card would be only decent in this day of age and it isnt always that.

On a sidenote i think choosing to counter a minion is the better choice

Its a tech card. And a really nasty one because if you can keep it alive from being traded on board, then your opponent will almost always be forced to play off curve in fear of losing their turn. And this card has an additional evil effect of basically ruining your opponent's combo, assuming they cant remove it.

And there's where the snag hits hard: you need to keep it alive. Choose minion, and spells will destroy this card. Choose spells, and your opponent will simply play a minion and then thereafter play around this counter until they can kill it, a not too impossible scenario.

The fact is that this card is dependent on your opponent's move and could potentially do nothing. In that respect, its actually a worse card than something like Cult Neophyte, which guarantees disruption.

Best played in a midrange deck, where whether the effect triggers is hardly ever the point, and by keeping your other minions alive, this might have just served its purpose. I dont expect this to ever consistently counter combo decks, or be good enough that it's literally in every deck.

I like it! This is stronger than it looks because the opponent has to gamble which card will be countered ... The Body is decent so it will not die that easy!

I cannot say how much I love the idea of countering a minion.

WHERE DO I SIGN in?

Is countering a minion like silence, or will it just cause a battlecry to not go off? Seems cool anyway, with the caveat that if it dies before your opponent plays a card, it won't be countered.

Already making things awkward in the current meta, this is a real curve ball minion who will see play somewhere in each meta for the next 2 years.

Solid disruption. Just cheap enough that you can weave him into a turn, but not super oppressive on his own. Very good for disrupting decks that only run a handful of very expensive minions, since you can slow them down or even wipe out their win condition if they don't respect him.

Really been enjoying this card so far. It has great potential, and forces your opponent into some mind games on the turns when they want to play their good stuff!
