Submitted 2 years, 1 month ago by

Bonus Update: Added Godrick, the Grafted.

Final Update: Added Radagon of the Golden Order.

Update: 1.5: Added Maliketh, the Black Blade.

Update 1.4: Added Godfrey, First Elden Lord.

Update 1.3: Added Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy

Update 1.2: Added Morgott, the Omen King

Update 1.1: Added Mogh, Lord of Blood

I greet you! Recently, I took a break from Hearthstone and custom Hearthstone content in general, and the main responsible from that break was the release of my most anticipated game of the generation: Elden Ring, which is the game I'm currently addicted and in love with, like many fellow gamers out there. But with the coming of the new Hearthstone expansion, I'm slowly coming back to Hearthstone, and with the recent Fan Community Spotlights about Duels heroes, I've decided to try to make custom content again, and I did it by "Uniting the useful and the nice" as I like saying, by combining Hearthstone and Elden Ring into a set of 9 heroes for the mode! I was not an avid Duels players even when Hearthstone was my main game, so there'll be probably a lot of balance issues with the cards, but keep in mind that my goal here is to translate the characters as faithful to both games as possible, I hope you'll understand. Also, if you're currently playing Elden Ring and don't want spoilers, don't worry, there's no big spoilers in the guide, I'll hide them in a separate tab. But enough talk, now I present to you, 9 characters from Elden Ring in the form of Duels heroes, Malenia the Severed, General Radahn, Ranni the Witch, Mogh the Lord of Blood, Morgott the Omen King, Rykard the Lord of Blasphemy, Lord Godfrey, Maliketh the Black Blade and Lord Radagon.

Tip: Listen to this while reading the guide

Let's start with the most famous one, Malenia the Severed, a demigoddess born with a curse/disease known as the Scarlet Rot, who slowly corrode one's body and mind. In combat, Malenia uses her quick and ferocious prosthetic katana, the Lifesteal rune and the Scarlet Rot to fight her foes, that's why she'll come to Hearthstone to represent the Rogue and Druid classes. Also, I'll leave a video showcasing each heroes boss fights/ quests in the spoiler tab so you can better understand their treasures and hero powers.

Now we have General Radahn, the conqueror of the stars, the mightiest demigod of the shattering war, the biggest chad of the Lands Between, who despite being a 16-foot tall walking tank, is also an excellent mage who mastered the power of gravity, and is powerful enough to hold a falling star in the sky even when completely brain-dead by the Scarlet Rot inflicted by Malenia. And why did he learn magic despite being the strongest warrior of the land? To become more powerful? To defeat a certain foe? NO! He learned gravity magic just to ride his beloved pet steed who eventually became too small to hold Radahn's gigantic body (what a chad...) So with all that said, he would come to Hearthstone representing the Warrior and Mage classes.

And last but not least, Ranni, the snow witch, the first demigoddess to suffer from corporeal death, whose spirit yet lives inside a doll body. On Ranni's own words, her main goal is to "walk through the dark path to achieve the Age of the Stars". What she truly meant by that? I'd rather not say it to avoid spoilers, what I can say is that she gathered a group of loyal servants to help her in this quest: Blaidd, the Half-wolf, War Counselor Iji and Seluvis, who won't be featured as a card for being a complete ass. Now with the group of heroes, the power of the Moon and the Shadows, this half Mage half Warlock is ready to conquer the Duels mode and bring the mysterious Age of the Stars".

WARNING : Elden Ring late game secret boss below, be warry of spoilers.

UPDATE: A new hero (Or should I say villain) emerges from a blood pool! Mohg, the lord of blood!

Mohg is a secret boss in Elden Ring specialized in blood magic, and is one of the most evil and grotesque looking characters of the game.
Mohg's main goal is to create his own dynasty of followers, who instead of following the Greater Will and the Erdtree , it will be dedicated to serve the outer goddess known as the Formless Mother, the goddess from whom he extracts his powers by opening portals to stab the Mother and burn his foes alive with her fiery blood (pretty metal eh?).
Mohg comes to Hearthstone representing the Warlock class, due to his blood spells and insanely evil nature, and also the Priest class, due to his worship to the Formless Mother and overall evil pope looks.(Also, yes, Warlock first and Priest second, he has nothing to do with Scholomance and fits the Warlock class more than Priest).

UPDATE 2: Mohg had his time, now we'll handle the spotlight to his twin brother, Morgott, the omen king!

Morgott is here representing the Paladin and Demon Hunter classes, it might have seen like a weird combination even for those who played the game, but trust me, Morgott is as much as a righteous noble as an outcast freak. He comes from the noblest bloodline possible, but despite that, he and he's twin brother Mohg lived all their childhood in the sewers, all because of their Omen Curse, who basically makes one look like an ancient life form, and are considered abominations by the Golden Order, who's basically the religious elite of the game. But even after all the suffering and injustice caused to him, he eventually ascended to the throne after the Shattering War, and is now known as the last of all kings, ruler of Leyndell, the royal capital.

UPDATE 3: And yet another Elden ring boss join the Hearthstone Duels as a Warlock/ Shaman, which is Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, ruler of the Volcano Manor, and ties with Mogh as the most Evil and grotesque character of the game.

Rykard, as the other characters here, is a demigod, direct brother of Radahn and Ranni, which had an ambition to destroy the Erdtree and the Golden Order, and to achive that, he feed himself to the God Devouring Serpent, a monstrosity capable of devouring a being and absorb its powers and essence. But when Rykard got devoured, he fused his conscious with the serpent, and they became one. Now Rykard has an eternal hunger for champions, and currently rules the Volcano Manor, which is dedicated to destroy the Erdtree and gather the mightiest champions to feed Rykard and increse his power, so one day he can become powerful enough to devour the gods and became the new lord supreme of the Lands Between. He is know for his iconic serpentine quotes:
"JOIN THE SERPENT KIIIIING AS FAMILEEEEEE. TOGETHAAAAAA WE WILL DEVOUAAAAAHHH, THE VERY GAAAAWWDSS!!!"

UPDATE 4: For the first time in this thread, we'll have a character who's not a Demigod, but the progenitor of some of them (Morgott and Mogh, to be specific), one of the most noble, heroic and chad charaters of the game, Godfrey, the First Elden Lord (Not to be confused by Lord Godfrey), representing the Warrior and Druid classes.

The warrior once known as Hoarah Loux was the strongest warrior of the Lands Between, and Queen Marika, who ruled the lands, was in need of a champion to lead her armies and defeat the ones who threated her order, so she ploted to marry Hoarah Loux and make him general. And so, Hoarah Loux maried Marika, claiming the title of Elden Lord and a new name: Godfrey. Althought Godfrey was the perfect warrior to lead Marika's armies, he was also a savage who was constantly hungry for battle, and to prevent his almost beastial temperament from ruining Marika's reign, Godfrey got his beastial side separated from him by the Greater Will, granting birth to Serosh, a lion spirit who incorporated all of Godfrey's beastiality, leaving him only with the heroic warrior side.
After many wars fought in the name of Marika, she eventually exiled him from the lands for mysterious reasons, and by the end of your journey, he fights you to regain the title of Elden Lord, and when his victory over you seens impossible, he kills Serosh (who let's say represents his "Druid" side) and once again becomes the legendary bloodlust barbarian Hoarah Loux...WARRIIIIIOOOORRR!!!

UPDATE 5: In this thread, you were presented to a lot of powerful characters, all of each are basically immortal, since they continue to live even after death as a rememberence, but there's one thing in Elden Ring that can put a genuine end to one's life whether it's a mortal, demigod or god, and that thing is the Rune of Death, also know as Destined Death, which is guarded by one of the most fearsome warriors of the Lands Between, Maliketh, the Black Blade. He represents the Warrior and Priest classes, and his main gimmick, the Destined Death, funcitions as permanent and overtime damage in the game, so permanent damage will be one of his main mechanics in Hearthstone as it is in Elden Ring.

Maliketh is the brother and Empyrian Shadow (Which is just a fancy name for "God's Bodyguard") of Queen Marika , the guardian of the Elden Ring, which holds the very concepts of reality within itself, and one of those concepts is Death, but one day Marika decided to remove the concept of death from reality,so she removed the Rune of Death from the Elden Ring, making everyone in the lands immortal as consequence. Althought she took the Rune of Death out of the Elden Ring, she didn't discarded it, so she trusted the Rune of Death to Maliketh, infusing it to his blade, which became the only weapon capable of permanently killing anyone or anything, including gods and entitys. But on the Night of the Black Knifes, a fragment from the Rune of Death was stolen from Maliketh, and was used by the group know as the "Black Knifes" to kill Marika's favorite son, Godwyn the Golden. Infuriated by her son's murder, Marika completly destroyed the Elden Ring , and as punishment for his failure, Marika doomed Maliketh to ever hunger for Deathroot, the root from the tree that Godwyn's corpse lies, now Maliketh lives as a clergyman known as Gurranq, spending all of his days eating Deathroot and atoning for his ultimate sin. Even after all those events, Maliketh still guards the Rune of Death, which you need to reach the end of your jorney.

FINAL UPDATE: And for the last hero of the thread, we'll have not a demigod, but an actual god! The progenitor of most (all?) demigods from Elden Ring, and that is Lord Radagon of the Golden Order! The final boss of the game, the most holy character of the game, representing the Paladin and Priest classes.

Largelly known for his red locks and legendary skill, Radagon is a high rank warrior of the Golden Order, who foght contless wars in their name, but in one of those wars, he met a mage woman named Rennala, and after some battles, they fell in love with each other, each resulted in a marriage who ended the war between Leyndell and The Carian Royals. From their marriage, three children were born, Radahn, Rykard and Ranni. Althought they trully loved each other, one day Radagon left Rennala all of a sudden, and returned to Leyndell to marry Queen Marika, who just banished Godfrey, and from their marriege, Radagon gained godhood, and his children with Rennala, demigodhood, and speaking of children, Radagon had two more kids with Marika, the afflicted twins Malenia and Miquella. After Godwyn's death, Marika destroyed the Elden Ring, and Radagon tried to repair it, but despite going against Marika's actions, he became locked inside the Erdtree forever as punishment for Marika's sin. By why did Radagon had to pay for a crime that his wife commited? Well, the answer is simple, but also spoiler heavy, you were warned! So why did Radagon lefted Rennala after Marika went single? Why he suddenly became a God? Why his kids with Marika are defective despite both being gods? Why he is paying for Marika's crimes? well, all of that is because:

Bonus Update: To celebrete the well deserved GOTY Elden Ring received, I decided to add a bonus hero to the thread, and that is Godrick the Grafted, the first big boss of the game.
Godrick portrays the Warrior class, but he also got a neutral side, side that will be filled by his hero powers, which represents his favorite gimmick, grafting, which is basically tieing the limbs of others beings into yourself to gain their power.

Having been somewhat peer-pressured into buying Elden Ring, I must say it was totally worth it 'cause I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game. I just step foot in the Altus Plateau before I shelved ER for some other games, but I'll definitely go back to it eventually. And, added bonus, I can finally understand some of the references you're making :D

I think my favorite Treasure is Bear Witness! It's an iconic moment many people remember fondly (and by "fondly" I mean "with gnashed teeth" lol), and Menagerie Warrior needs more love.
