Coin drops for PvP decreased?

As the title says: I just hit the rank 1000 floor and my reward chest had 3 coin drops instead of 5. What BS is this?

I noted the same - was it always 5 coins? I think*** it was 3 last month too?
It's always been that way? But you had me question this for a moment, so I went to consult my article on the original PvP Season 1. As you can see there with the image included: first ranked chest being 25 coins for 3 Mercs.
Yeah, my bad. I was playing on my phone, which I don't usually, and it looked different. Plus you get 5 coin drops for bounties, so I was thinking about that. Let's just delete this thread before too many people see what a doofus I am.
