Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Here we have a pretty great title that sadly got overshadowed by the failing of one of its (sort of) predecessors. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a single-player game that stars the titular team in a story about family, loss, and 80s fashion sense. Sadly, you'll only be able to control Star Lord, with the other members of the team being AI-companions that you can partially direct yourself.
The story centres around the same team composition as the movies (Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot), but the characters and world differ just enough to keep things fresh. That said, the game assumes quite a bit of familiarity of the source material, including the comics. The combat is a bit repetitive, but the soundtrack is great, with a mix of classic 80s and 90s song and some banger original tunes.

This is an awesome way to end the epic games holiday giveaway. I never got an opportunity to play Guardians of the Galaxy but I know a lot of folks really enjoyed it so it's now been added to the backlog!
