Path of Exile players will be getting to protect their precision button clicks in the next league if all goes well!

In this week's episode of Tavern Talk, Darth Microtransaction and Ghazzy had a chance to speak with Mark and Jonathan from Grinding Gear Games about Path of Exile 2 and the future of Path of Exile 1. During the podcast, a very important quality of life feature for Path of Exile was confirmed to be in development and we'd be seeing it soon.

Orb of Fusing Made Easy

If you've ever taken the RNG route of using Orb of Fusing, you'll know how exhausting it can get to roll for those precious 6-links. It has been confirmed that we will instead be able to use them "automatically". While that doesn't mean we can walk up to an NPC or a piece of UI to say "roll til I get 6 links", we will be able to click a whole lot less.

The change Grinding Gear Games is working on is to instead allow players to hold down left click while using Orb of Fusing on an item which will spam the item. They are looking to add the change in to the next league, we're currently in Affliction, and while no date has been announced for it yet, we should be on track for a March or April release for this year.

We did pretty good on that one!

And yes, the same technology is coming to Jeweler's Orbs which will allow you to stop clicking to get those 6 sockets you need on your items. Mouse manufacturers must hate the Path of Exile team now that they will last longer for PoE players.

Hopefully the devs will add some way to limit your fuses to 5-links, which is an option required for some builds and is even more tedious than the 6-link spam. We're certainly more than happy with the current improvement though, coming soon to a league near you!

Great addition or best addition? Let us know how frustrated 6-linking has been for you and how excited you are about the upcoming feature down below.
