Cora "Songbird" Georgiou has announced her departure from casting Hearthstone and moving on to... the final design team!
Cora joins the team that houses Dean "Iksar" Ayala, Stephen "Puffin" Chang, Ryan "Realz" Masterson, and Keaton "Chakki" Gill. The final design team is responsible for playtesting the new cards, ensuring they are fun and balanced, and making the final adjustments. New sets get locked in from the process roughly two months before its release, with four months spent on the process.
As she said on stream, she will be joining the team in October. We are not likely to see her work for at least a couple of expansions due to how the Hearthstone design process works, plus, it is a team effort and not any one person's work that makes our meta.

Good for Cora, many of us would love to be on her shoes right now. :D :D :D I'm really happy for her, especially because she was attacked by the community with no mercy during and after the Rise of Shadows Card Reveal Stream, and now she is working for one of the biggest video game companies out there!!! :) :) :) Sadly, I have to admit, I contributed with my grain of salt on Hearthpwn to such a stupid thing, but I recognize my mistake and I'm sorry for that...
Still, there is something that bothers me... Where is Ben Brode replacement??? Cora obviously is not good enough to do the work (she has already shown her potential), neither is anyone who is currently working for this company (at least not those who are already public faces) or the most famous streamers. I understand dealing with the community can be a HUGE problem when you are the face of a company as big as Blizzard, but c'mon, I just wanna laugh... I just wanna laugh a lot... Is that really much to ask as a very loyal costumer??? Or is the problem just Blizzard here? Maybe they just don't wanna give anyone such a privilage, who knows... :( :( :(
