Need to craft something

Submitted 4 years, 7 months ago by

So I've gotten quite bored with the recent meta with the decks I had so I wanna craft something new, fun and viable.

I've come down to either Quest Wall Priest or Quest Druid, both seems really fun and quite strong after the recent nerfs.

Which one should I go with?

I was playing quest druid against rouge and he killed me on turn 4. Couldn’t even activate my quest. In conclusion, quest Druid bad.go with priest.

Hard to tell what to craft without knowing what you already got. Did you try quest pally? It's pretty fun!

Both decks are really fun.  I hadn't played around with my quest for priest since getting it so I was playing the wall res priest deck yesterday and its a lot of fun and its been my go to deck for fun.  You get rolled over a lot by aggro unless you get the right answers but your late game is pretty insane.  If you have your late game cards I don't think anything really out values you.

I'd say quest priest is a bit more fun if you like the big 'timmy' plays where you jam insane stats onto the board but quest druid is more competitive while still being fun and unique to play.  Consider which one costs you more dust and the value of the cards you'll need to craft outside these particular decks.

resurrect quest priest early game can be pretty barren and very likely dies to the exact same Rogue hand.

If you're looking for the 'better' deck then the quest druid Chef Nomi build is the best one.

Well both are fun to play but i think that the Priest is gonna be stronger or more consistent regarding the Winrate.

I'm playing Druid right now to get my golden Hero Portrait but i personaly would prefer the Priest. I also played Quest/Wall Priest before i started the Golden Portrait Run. Heres my list:

I agree this being the best version out of the current Quest Druids, seems stupid not to but this in instead of like King Phaoris.

I did decide to go with the Priest since I was missing only the quest itself and 2x Psychopomps, and it does work pretty well and particularly fun.

I will probably craft the Quest Druid at some other point but I'm still missing like 3 legendaries and 8 epics.

    Thanks for the replies!

I drafted a new mage deck with lots of dragons in it for early board control and some big minions to then curve into a 7-mana galaxy spell and then survive to pull off a 4-Ragnaros board using Khadgar, Faceless Manipulator and Jana'lai. Also with conjurer's calling and mountain giants of course and my new favorite Archmage Arugal. When that guy in combination with a draw card suddenly gives you a lot of cheap 1-mana minions...or it is left alive early game to give you more draw...very good card right now.

That's... not what he asked at all. Did you even read his original post?

@Shakey, I believe the best build runs both Nomi and Phaoris. Although that was mainly to counter warrior. You would first bait out their removal with Phaoris and Cenarius, and then slam down multiple Nomi waves.

I know that, just wanted to share my own new deck building experience. And I think it is also fun and viable, not so new though.

That actually sounds really good and would love to try that but it also means crafting Phaoris aswell, so it'll go on my 'to craft' list

Regarding the Quest Wall Priest I just got to legend from rank 2 having only 1 loss against Quest Druid (lol).

This is also my first time ever reaching legend so its pretty exciting, feel like I made the right choice there

Hey good stuff! Nice to see your crafting choice worked out regardless.

Phaoris might not even be necessary in the quest druid deck anymore at this point. It was required to beat warrior before the nerfs because of their insane amount of removal and high playrate. If the latter has significantly lowered it may very well be better to run a good anti aggro card instead of Phaoris.

I just ended up throwing [Hearthstone Card (Recurring Villian) Not Found] into my Quest Priest. I doesn’t help the Big Wall Archetype, but its something fun to think about, having an immortal minion on the board.

This ain't no place for a hero

That's a neat idea ! i didn't even think about him - sure lilke you said not the best Rezz Target for Big Walls but still a good minion that the opponent usualy has to remove

OMFG A priest that isn't using Inner fire!

(I don't have a problem with the card itself, but I personally don't want to run a priest deck that relies on it anymore)

And I only need to craft 1 legendary and 2 epics (RNG wanted to give me a mass of mage mess this time after basically priest-locking me last set).

So yeah, thank you so much!

Meanwhile glad you were able to get some good decks going OP.  This set feels like there's a lot of interesting decks to play with but a lot of them feel like they are 'missing' something.  Like Quest Druid not having an actual win condition (lots of neat tools that end up removing a lot of things but no way to WIN easily) or quest mage having a reason to actually WANT it.

Why trade with minions when you can face for...billions?
