You are  right. This deck is dominating the meta atm.

Also Reno decks made a comeback as well.

As far as I could understand, the meta is basically split between Secret Mage preying on the old meta, and Reno decks countering that.

It's not as polarised as it seems tho, as many (new) decks are developing in the middle.

Indeed, Secret Mages are setting a new "Wild standard", where you need reliable soak power (healing, armor) and/or reliable burn power (faster than theirs).

Secret Techs such as Eater of Secrets or Flare do help, but are not game-winners on their own. And I expect the tech necessity to fade in time, with decks refining in the new meta, and countering Secret Mages more efficiently, reducing their numbers. Maybe SI:7 Infiltrator will stay to remove Ice Block, because the body is not bad anyway.

    Exactly!

Secret mage is shaping the wild meta.

But, as stated above, this makes people search for ways to counter it and, in some ways, this is good since we can breath some fresh air instead of the old odd paladin/big priest meta. (Though I fear this one will regain its popularity if Reno decks start increasing in numbers).

IMO, the best decks to counter secret mages are indeed reno decks, since they can heal and stall the game frequently.

Also, as RavenSunHS stated, running secret techs in all sort of decks may ruin your gameplan (especially if you are playing an aggro deck) and sometimes, they just doesn't work properly...

    Secret mage

    Odd rogue

    Odd paladin

    Even shaman

Seeing how you're new to wild, these should be the easiest to climb with at lower ranks.

I currently play a deck that beats the meta decks regulary. Shure you can´t win them all.... Choose a class you realy like to play then search for the deck.

I always liked shaman and am a battlecry fan so i ended up with a jade shaman. But i also have even shaman, secret paladin, even mage, mill druid and battlecry paladin that are all aproved to be strong, fun to play and off meta.  My fastest climb to R4 was with the secret paladin before the last edition with new quests.

Secret mage is cheap to build and very powerful but counterable. I avoid decks that are common.

Big Priest is still pretty common though. Last night I think 60% of the decks I encountered was Big/Resurrect Priest still.
The good part is though that it's become easier to beat with all the aggro decks available right now. Very satisfying.

sn1p-sn4p Warlock is by far the best deck. All top 5 legend players in EU used it.

It's hard to play well though, so outside of top 100 legend you will rarely see it and if you do, chances are they misplay and you beat them anyways.

I can verify this. Had a hilarious match where they didn't get the last Sn1p-Sn4p magnetized, which left me at 2hp. I was able to clear the board and got a concede. I could hear the guy screaming through my screen that he had fucked up the last Sn4p!
