Welcome to BlizzCon! The opening ceremony is about to begin and we'll be covering it live for you.
Expect to see some brief details on the Hearthstone expansion, a couple of new card teasers, and info on all the other game announcements at BlizzCon. We'll get more information later in the day with a dedicated Hearthstone panel.
- Note that the Opening Ceremony will be broadcast on all of Blizzard's Twitch channels for free.
- New for 2019 - Several panels on the first day on the Mythic stage will also be free to watch. Only on BlizzCon.com.
- The rest of BlizzCon (outside of Esports) will require access to a Virtual Ticket. We've embedded the stream down below.
New Hearthstone News
- Descent of Dragons launches December 10.
- A new solo adventure will be coming in January
- Ben Thompson takes the stage!
- Some of the best stories are told right here at home, in the Tavern.
- Rise of Shadows introduced the League of EVIL.
- Saviors of Uldum introduced the League of Explorers again.
- Dragonblight is where everything ends up.
- Descent of Dragons is the new expansion name.
- More dragons than any expansion has ever had.
- Logging in when the set launches gets you five legendary Galakrond cards.
- Every class gets a legendary dragon.
- A new game mode is coming out called Battlegrounds.
- Battlegrounds is an eight-player mode that is inspired by autochess.
- Battlegrounds is available on November 12.
- If you pre-purchase the new expansion, you get access to Battlegrounds on Tuesday!

Opening Ceremony Recap

Diablo 4
- Diablo 4 cinematic!
- Luis Barriga, D4 Game Director, is live on stage.
- Diablo 4 is darkness, world, and legacy.
- The game is going to be dark. The art, story, and horror elements are all a return to the darker roots of Diablo.
- Blood, gore, occult symbols and rituals.
- A gothic and medieval version of hell.
- PVP is back in Diablo!
- "If you're a long-time fan, this is the game you're waiting for."
- Releasing on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
- Barbarian, Druid, and Sorceress are the first three classes announced.
StarCraft II
- You'll be able to play against the Deepmind AI if you're at BlizzCon. Check out the Blizzard Arcade.
- Arcturus Mengsk is coming to SC2 as the next co-op commander.
Heroes of the Storm
- Deathwing is coming to the Nexus. He is the most requested hero of all time.
- Deathwing has two forms, with two sets of abilities.
- You can play Deathwing at BlizzCon in the Blizzard Arcade.
- If you have a virtual ticket or a physical BlizzCon ticket, you'll get Deathwing for free when he launches.
- All heroes will be free in the game from now until November 10 so you can try out all the heroes.
Warcraft III Reforged
- Everyone with a ticket (virtual or physical) is getting access to the beta on Tuesday.
- The release date for the game will be announced "soon".
WoW Classic
- Vanilla Ice Cream can be purchased at BlizzCon.
- Week of November 12, world bosses are getting released.
- The PVP honor system will also get released the same week.
- Dire Maul is playable on the show floor.
World of Warcraft
- Ion takes the stage.
- WoW turns 15 years old!
- A new WoW charity pet is being released to benefit Make-a-Wish and We.org.
- The pet is a baby alpaca. All proceeds will benefit the two charities.
- November 5 is when all the anniversary events will be activated. A battleground and raid experiences will be available.
- Completing all the raid experiences will get a Deathwing mount.
- Logging in during the celebrating will give you a Nefarian pet.
- World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
- A realm that predates the titans. The power the Death Knights draw from.

Dang, our very own loremaster, GoliathTheDwarf, totally called Galakrond happening. That's a smart dwarf you got there, OOC.
Galakrond was in teaser to be fair...
Not a fan of this Galakrond thing, but i'm having a Cardgasm for my Even Hunter.
This really makes me wish they'll return Genn and Baku for a limited time back to standard.....
I mean, at this point it can't be worse than the current dumpsterfire, so why not.
HS Autochess? Hype!
My big question on Galakrond: since he's a legendary for 5 classes, does that mean the E.V.I.L classes each only get ONE class legendary. Or will they all get the normal 2 legendaries PLUS Galakrond (so really 3 in total?).
There will be 5 different variants of Galakrond as far as I understand.
Yeah that's what it sounded like from the announcement when he said they're giving out "all five copies" but idk that's just a bit surprising since if Galakrond isn't as meta-impactful as they're expecting/doesn't resonate with players then 5 of the 9 classes are basically "hobbled" for 4 months.
I didn't start playing HS until after Old Gods, but Galakrond/Invoke looks a whole lot like C'thun except it's not a damage-based battlecry so what happens if you draw 3 0-cost cards and RNG gives you a bad draw? Obviously WAAAYYYY to early to tell but just my immediate thoughts
IGNORE ME I didn't see that each version of Galakrond was different based on the classes. Much better I think.

Well since they are willing to release new modes, TOURNAMENT MODE IS COMING, or I hope at least
They're willing to go for a quick cash grab by releasing an umpteenth autobattler. I unfortunately doubt they'll be releasing a worthwhile gamemode anytime soon.
