Today we've got a few new cards revealed for the upcoming Magic: the Gathering expansion, Theros: Beyond Death, from Gamespot.

The card for Athreos, Shroud-Veiled is listed as a Buy-a-Box Promo card for paper Magic, so I don't know if it will be readily available in MTGA. It's possible it could be part of pre-order promotion for the expansion. The new set has more than 350 cards and will be in pre-release for MTGA on January 16, 2020.

Ashiok looks like it could make an appearance in Dimir discard/control decks and cause loads of frustration by bouncing creatures to your opponent's hand or use their own exiled cards against them. Elspeth, the second Planeswalker revealed, will definitely become a staple of White Aggressive decks with her low cost and ability to buff multiple creatures or create tokens. She also showcases one of the new keyword abilities for the set: Escape. This new mechanic will provide you with an alternative way to cast cards from your Graveyard by meeting the Exile requirement listed. Athreos is going to be a troublesome foe to encounter in Orzhov decks by being Indestructible and making your creatures nearly impossible to get rid of.

Gamespot also shared alternate art versions of the Planeswalkers revealed, shown below.

Although they were previously leaked, I think now is a good time to take a look at the awesome new lands we'll be getting from Theros!
