Ads in between posts

I get it, the site doesn't get enough support from the community and we need ads or else the site will go under, but there are just too many ads. Ads at the top of the screen are fine, ads in between the threads/tavern brawl/deck discussion are fine, ads at the bottom of news posts are fine, but when there are ads in between, next to, and even inside of comments and thread replies it is just too much. The site feels cramped and cluttered. Please move these ads somewhere else or just get rid of them, it is hard to read the threads now and it makes the site less usable. Please. I hate this.

Are you sure your talking about the right website? I haven't seen single one yet. I even refreshed the page and went to different threads to find some.

I have been seeing these ads everywhere, in between underneath and inside of posts. Do you donate to the site? People who donate don't see ads.

You shouldn't be seeing them inside of comments and replies. I'll take a look to confirm those areas are blacklisted. That's a shit experience and I'm sorry about that.

Ironically here is an example where there is an ad in your post. Having the same issues I guess.
This was the only ad that loaded too, none on top or bottom.

I've made some changes, it may take up to an hour to take effect, but I'm hopeful this will prevent any ads from showing up in comments.

I'm still seeing ads next to and between comments.
Edit: This stopped happening on this page as soon as I posted. Maybe the page needs to be regenerated for the ads to be expelled because pages that are cached server-side still have ad slots in them?
I am still seeing ads inside of posts. I appreciate your working to fix this but it hasn't helped.

For me the same (even still in this thread).
I also had Ads right between lines in some bluepost quotes. Could not find the specific post, maybe it is already fixed.

So many ads... It is super annoying and I hope that it doesn't destroy the site...
Sorry for the delay in responding here, the Christmas season has kept myself and others away for the most part.
I've gone ahead and disabled ads for now. We were using tech from Google called "auto ads" and we've reached the limit of how many areas of the site I'm able to blacklist and that didn't help ads not display in comments or inside of some posts. The way forward will be to manually add the ad units exactly where we do want them. It was an experiment and an easy way to get ads on the site which didn't really work out in the end.
I'm making it my target to get ads back on the site within 24 hours so we don't lose too much revenue. December is one of the best times of the year for ads since you can pretty easily earn double the income from them (yay higher advertiser budgets) so it would be a shame to miss out on it for too long.

A deploy is going out now that will enable ads on the site again.
These are all manually placed ads, nothing will be inside of comments. If you see ads, you'll see a unit in the header, the footer, and some sidebars. There will also be an ad above comment sections.
I'll continue to evaluate placement and such. No more should we have stuff showing up in bad places though, so that's great!
