Achievements not counting towards Quest reward.

Simply put.  I have a quest today to play 3 Champions from Demacia or Noxus.  I played 3 games vs AI and played a total of 5 champions from said regions.  It still only said 1/3.  So I switched to a PvP game and played another 1 or 2 champions, only for it to STILL say 1/3.

I tried logging out and then back in.  Still the same.  I don't want to reroll it because it's an easy quest.  This is frustrating as it seems to happen to me quite often. 

Thoughts?  Ideas to remedy this?

Which Champions did you play?

I've had the same thing happen to me on different quests.  I remember having a "Spend 'X' Spell Mana" quest, so I made sure to bank mana each turn so I would constantly be using that extra mana.  However, when each game ended, I never received any progression towards quest completion.

On the flip side though, I've had quests complete themselves without me working toward them at all.  I once had a "Play 'X' Shadow Isles Champions" quest, but it wasn't the region I wanted to try that day (figured I'd just keep it for another day).  However, when the next game I played ended, that same quest earned progression towards completion even though I had no corresponding champions in my deck.

Strange stuff... 

I made a cheese deck with 2x Lucian, 2x Garen and 2x Darius.  My first game I had played one of each.  The rest was a mix I can't remember.  No WAY it shouldn't have completed my quest.  

From my experience I'm fairly confident that a significant number of the 'play X champions from Y/Z regions' quests are bugged and actually increment from playing against those champions. Either the quests are broken or someone misssed a word or two when writing the descriptions.

If that is true and intentional, then it's horrible quest design. You should be able to actively work towards completing your dailies, not be at the mercy of matchmaking to pit you against an opponent running the right champion (and then possibly losing the match on purpose just in hopes that they actually play their champion cards).

I highly doubt this is how Riot intended it, though. Probably just a coding error, as you suggested.

Hmmm..... sounds like a re-roll is in order then.  Sucks too because as worded, it's a super easy quest.

Well, if it helps the research any, I got a Demacia and Shadow Isles champion quest. I played a Garen, my opponent played an Elise.

After the match was finished, no credit towards the quest was awarded.

So figure that out.
