Most priest decks I face are still res priest.
I still auto-concede priest matchups. I get tilted just seeing priest, I end up misplaying a lot. So auto-conceding seems like a faster, less frustrating approach.
I honestly would rather lose to aggro DH or hunters than face res priests.

priest has a viable deck called Galakrond priest. if you construct it right. of course in this meta its not gonna work cause DH and Rogues are a thing. i build one that basically wins vs almost all except those 2 and its a coin toss vs Galakrond Warlock. thats why priest is more reliable on rez mechanic
I’ve seen A LOT more highlander priest at Diamond 5-1, supported by the new thief cards and Murozond, as well as some of what I guess can only be called.... “Aggro for priest priest,” since they actually drop minions inside of the first 6 turns.
Does resurrect come out? Absolutely. But it’s better than it’s been. I think it’s just that Priest players hate the archetype as much as everyone else does, so people are on the hunt for anything new. I should just concede to all these highlanders after 10 turns or something, just to motivate them to stick with it.
The problem is not with the variety of priest decks, its just res priest being very very good.
Its not really that hard to figure it out. Catrina Muerte + Mass Resurrection, Archmage Vargoth + Mass Resurrection simply out values everything in hearthstone now.
Not to mention that even with the revamp priest still has more reactive cards than other classes.
Also with dhunters practically dominating the early and mid game, and natural counters to res priest like highlander mage and shaman being nearly wiped out, its only normal that res priest is meta right now.
Its one of those rare decks that singularly invites scorn from nearly everyone including those who play it, and yet because of pure win rate alone still haunts the meta from time to time.
