No Kazakus for Demon Hunters?

Submitted 3 years, 9 months ago by

My go-to fun deck is Reno Demon Hunter at the moment. I net decked the list and didn't pay much attention to it, but today I noticed that Kazakus is missing from the usual Highlander package. So I tried to add him and... I couldn't. While the deck list is open, the card isn't shown in my collection, no matter what I do. Has anyone else encountered this?

Now you see me...

... now you don't.

Kazakus is from the MSoG expansion and is part of the tri-class-card mechanic. Tri-class  divides into three groups Goons, Cabal or Jade Lotus. Kazakus belongs to Cabal and are only for Priest, Mage or Warlock.

Kazakus is exclusive to mage priest and warlock. He's the tri-class legendary from mean streets. Demon hunter wasn't around so he doesn't get access to any tri class cards.

    I'll boop you

Sure, as a long time player I facepalmed as well but not everyone played since then I can see how the triclass cards can be confusing as they are labeled neutral.. There are only 9 cards like this in the whole game so it makes sense to not notice the mechanic.

I've actually been around since Blackrock Mountain, but I only started playing Wild last year and dusted all my rotating cards before that. I had completely forgotten about triclass cards. Shame on me.

Wouldn't it be more convenient for us to make them show up in all the classes they are playable in instead of the neutral section? I'd prefer to see them in three different places instead of only one where I can't use them in 7 out of 10 cases. Shouldn't be too much of an effort to program a pop up warning when you try to dust one of them that informs you about the fact that your "copies" in the other two classes will be gone as well.

With 10 classes I doubt we will get a tri class card, but we might get 5 class or double classes so only of they reuse the concept to some degree I can see them making such changes

They kinda did that with EVIL vs Explorers and Galakrond. I think if anything, this will be the direction they will continue rather than something like tri-class cards in the future.

For Thief Rogue the tri-class cards count as cards from another class even if one of the three classes is Rogue, so I think they technically belong to all three classes. Which likely means that Blizzard had to add extra code to make them show up between neutrals in the collection instead of in three class tabs. I guess they must have thought this was easier for users, otherwise they wouldn't have gone through the trouble.
