Hello reddit! My name is Phil Keoghan and you probably know me best as the host of The Amazing Race on CBS. I've been to over 100 countries around the world as host, producer, author, motivational speaker and cyclist. I'm here to take your questions, so really, ask me anything!

I'm a huge fan of The Amazing Race. Thanks so much for providing a ton of entertainment every season.
- Questions -
- In the early seasons of TAR there was a large amount of variance in finishing times. Teams could gain huge leads and then lose them which made the show very exciting. Lately, I've noticed that that large variance has been either eliminated or not shown. Is keeping the teams close together a goal for making exciting TV? In what other ways have you seen the show change over the years?
- In early seasons there was much more of a focus on the logistical nature of crazy international travel? Teams would have to find flights, connections, buses, trains, etc. Nowadays it seems the travel aspect is much more straightforward and the focus is on the challenges within the regions you're in. Was this a conscious choice? Why?
- Same with teams driving themselves. It seems navigation is less important in recent seasons.
- How much time is spent testing the challenges & road blocks? Are there specific challenges that were either too easy or too difficult?
