Sword and Board does the job better. At later turns you'd have cards like Minefield that at very least doesn't come with conditions.
Its certainly a card to consider assuming pirate warrior comes along, but even then its probably never going to see any play until SaB rotates because that's practically where this card fits the most, which is as an early game removal option.

I don't know how much pirate warrior really wants removal, but if they did this does the job well. I could also see this being played in menagerie warrior.

Seems pretty bad, doesn't fit with what Pirate decks usually want to do and gets outclassed by other removal cards. Might be better with more Pirate card reveals though.

So Stonemaul Anchorman and Sword Eater are quite popular pirates. And I'm sure we'll get to see more pirates this expansion if blizzard is releasing a restricted damaging spell
Maybe full tribal Pirate Warrior is a theme this expansions and this goes in there. Hard to justify that over just going regular Menagerie Rush Warrior though.
autoinclude in pretty much any warrior deck. Wild Pirate is still at least a Tier 2 deck. Getting rid of a taunt to continue to go face for 1 mana is a great option

Ya har? I don't think we've seen a lot of Warrior's direction in this expansion, but a cheap removal just might slip into a Pirate Warrior or two? Gonna be a very tentative 3 stars from me, could be more if we're getting Pirate Warrior 3.0 this expansion.
Most pirate decks run some Pirates (Stonemaul Anchorman and Sword Eater), but not sure if this would be able to find a spot. 1 cost deal 5 is pretty nuts though.
Control Warrior isn't playing Sword and Board right now. I do think this card is better, but it's not so much better that you'd want to run it. This only makes sense in a midrange Pirate deck, or if we get into another meta where a 1 mana 2 damage is really good.

Seems OK. I don't think warriors are running enough pirates in standard to make this a regular card. It will be tried out in wild for sure. Maybe there will be more pirate warrior support in the future for it.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Could bring Pirate Warrior back into standard, but not really. Pirate Warrior was always an aggro deck, so this hypothetical new standard Pirate Warrior would be more tempo/control based.
In Wild, of course, this will fit nicely into old aggro Pirate Warrior decks that love cheap ways to remove taunts.

"If the face plays Taunt, me pay 1 mana to kill it and still go face", some dude playing Pirate Warrior that teched this for some reason.

Pirate Warrior has a new tool. Bonkers card!
Arena > Wild > Standard
I shudder at the tempo swing it will provide to Wild Pirate War. Nice.

Carrion, my wayward grub.
Has potential, but depends on whether there is a need for such removal in the meta

Neat card. Depends on what pirates get printed but will be a good addition if a Pirate Warrior turns up.

I tried having fun once.
It was awful.

Incredible card, may even take the place of Shield Slam if we keep having 6 pirates on the constructed deck always.
Strong addition for Pirate Warrior!

I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
Lots of strong (1) mana spell coming with this expansion.
I do like this one, even with its conditional aspect
