This looks good - Warlock Hero Power on turn 2 and maybe even 3 and that could give you a Minion with good Stats early on.

On one hand, Abyssal Summoner saw play, but that demon got Taunt, making me think that this card lacking a keyword makes it bad. On the other hand, Mountain Giant usually came down on turn 4 for 8/8 of stats and often won the game. I'm not sure if only one hand card is enough to push handlock (after all, we don't have Twilight Drake anymore), but with some more support I can see it happening.
This can be a 4 mana 9/9 on turn 4. Does that make this card good? Not without support. Luckily for this card Runed Mithril Rod is also announced for this expansion so I see some potential. Maybe Handlock can be a thing once more. In Wild, this will make Evenlock slightly better, but I don't think it'll make a big impact.
Arena > Wild > Standard
This card will instantly resurrect Hand lock in standard. Tamsin Roame and Backfire will work wonders with this card. Now we'll have fiends to deal with on Turn 4 instead of Mountain Giants

Had Mountain Giant been in standard it would have fitted straight into the current controlock.
So is there any doubt this card will see play?

It can get you a medium size minion early, or a 9/9 later on. That's good, but is it good enough? I'm unconvinced.

Would Handlock even be playable in today's meta? Sure, it's not a bad card at all, but I feel like the days of Warlocks just stacking their hands is kind of long gone.

Indeed. In fact, one of the things that helped Handlocks stabilize was giving those Giants Taunt with both Sunfury Protector and Defender of Argus, of which one of them is gone.
The only reddemable attribute Dark Alley Pact is the fact that it synergizes with Tamsin Roame, but even then, it's a 7 mana combo for just a bunch of stats. I'm sure Warlocks would rather do that through Soulciologist Malicia, because most of the stat dump that way has Rush.

The lack of keywords is troubling. If the demon had taunt this would instantly be a 5-star card. If the meta isn't rampant with aggro decks this could see play, but otherwise I am doubtful.

At first I thought it was too expensive, but compare it to Twilight Drake and it's incredible. This will absolutely see play in all Warlock decks except zoo.
Honestly, how hard is it to play control lock and NOT have a full hand?
Thinking the same, this just seems better, and it's even a demon you could revive.
Just about a Mountain Giant, good with Tamsin Roame this card will fit nicely into current Warlock decks.

Hmm handlock card. Seems like a worse Abyssal Summoner, as the summoned fiend probably doesn't have taunt.
Yeh i dont think this card will be that good, even with its Tamsin Roame synergy.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I think this will see some play. I don't believe it will go in every warlock deck, but it will have its place and will fill that role well. I think with the just announced legendary and with some demon synergy this could turn out to be very good.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I'm not sure how often you would want to do nothing but draw the first 3 turns, but you could potentially get a very beefy boy on turn 4 with this.
Now we'll have to deal with Fiends and Anetheron early on - gotta love big hands ^^
