This card scares me a little... it can easily grow up like a massive snowball and when you realize is too late for you.

WOW. this card is INSANE. With all of the handbuff stuff in paladin right now Saidan the Scarlet can EASELY become a HUGE stat bomb and remove something. Saidan the Scarlet already becomes a 3 mana 4/4 rush after 1 Alliance Bannerman. Not only that, but Saidan the Scarlet is also amazing with Lightforged Cariel. Lightforged Cariels Blessing of Queens gives Saidan the Scarlet +8/+8. NOT ONLY THAT, but it gets buffes WHEREVER it is. This means it also doubles buffs when in deck (Invigorating Sermon synergy? lol. Oh and in wild i guess Prince Keleseth.) AND when on the battlefield. Libram of Wisdom becomes +2/+2 when going onto Saidan the Scarlet. Oh and Blessing of Authority gives Saidan the Scarlet +16/+16. That's scary. If Saidan the Scarlet lives a turn, it can easely end the game on the spot.
Saidan is easely a 5/5 star card, and a must-include in nearly all paladin decks in standard. And in wild i bet handbuff paladin will make room for it, and its a great option for The Last Kaleidosaur decks. :)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
At first I was like "Wow, nice stats, shame it sucks overall because it's a slow clunky card like most Paladin ones" and then I noticed the Rush. Yeah, this one is good. Also, I thought Rush was more of a Hunter/Warrior/DH keyword.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)Wins per class (18/11/21): DH-180; Druid-931; Hunter-910; Mage-1016; Paladin-1088; Priest-695; Rogue-938; Shaman-1024; Warlock-821; Warrior-847
At this point they're just slapping Rush onto everything to turn it from a meme into a competitive card.
I'm worried that we might end up with a bit too much handbuffing synergy in paladin to the point where there's just not enough silence in the game to deal with it all.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Despite the obvious power this card has, its a relatively mundane card that will likely remove one minion and then get removed itself, because there's no reason to believe it'll ever stick for more than the turn its played.
If it does stick, then its game over, because with something like Battleground Battlemaster running about you just cant let something like this alive.
While I think it'll likely see play in most paladin decks simply because rush is too important to ignore in paladin, I dont expect this to take the meta by storm any day.
Now this is just crazy. It's worth it even with just giving it +1/+1, and Paladin typically gives a lot more stats than that be it through handbuffing, librams or stuff like Hand of A'dal. Sure, it's just a big pile of stats with rush, but it's so efficient that I don't see it not seeing play.
One of the best cards revealed from the set so far. This already has an archetype to slot into (Handbuff Paladin), but as a standalone it's already very strong. Paladin has a lot of buff synergies that this could take advantage of. A single buff from Alliance Bannerman turns this into a 3-mana 4/4 with rush, which is very good.
Looks like it could be good, and will definitely be experimented with, but not sure if this will get handbuff Paladin there. Excited to see it in Libram Paladin though
Well... this is definitely the legendary we needed to make handbuff paladin more insane. I can see the greedy players wanting to making this guy huge, and I'd totally want to try too 😜
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
...but let's face it, control is dead 😭💔
A decent Rush body for Buff Paladin. Could see play solely because most Paladin decks run Alliance Bannerman, Conviction (Rank 1), and Hand of A'dal and it already synergizes just with that small package. Definitely a fun thing to do with Handbuff and the Bridge.
I have spoken.
Ugh,... Pure and Libram Paladins have a new best friend
Probably an auto-include in every Paladin deck out there (because they'll always have some kind of buffs). Particularly gross with handbuffs and the Lightforged Cariel's hero power
Yeah, so this is kind of nuts. The handbuff synergy is obvious.
... wowzer, seeing this one right after reviewing Lightforged Cariel gave an obvious use, reason and purpose to this buffing madness
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
It just might be the best "modern" legendary paladin has received. Especially with almost all good cards synergizing with it.
Quote From YourPrivateNightmareAt this point they're just slapping Rush onto everything to turn it from a meme into a competitive card.I'm worried that we might end up with a bit too much handbuffing synergy in paladin to the point where there's just not enough silence in the game to deal with it all.
I'm worried that with too many things having rush, and too much card draw in the game, it limits design choices because of the age old player whine "If It DoEsN'T hAvE aN iMmEdIaTe EfFeCt, It's NoT wOrTh PlAyInG"
I fear that, that mindset has caused HS to be what it is now. By reacting to players and metas that refuse to use "slow" cards, it's gotten to the point where if a card doesn't have value, rush, immediate impact, etc it's not worth playing.

Insane card with any buff, it can be a great menace in the early game, even with just a libram it gets a +2/+2
Could have potential with handbuff.
Holy cow, imagine this with just one tick from Blessing of Queens. This is a must keep in hand from the mulligan and you just watch the buffs roll in on it. Wow. I've never been much of a paladin player, but I might have to go back to craft some of the key legendaries to make this deck playable.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
