It's a 5-mana 4/2 weapon that requires you to have a board the turn you play it in order to use it.
This means:
a) if you don'T swing immediately you've just spent 5-mana to do nothing and open yourself up to weapon removal (something that's way more common now thanks to Zephrys)
b) if you do have a board it might not be an ideal one to evolve
c) The only cards currently in the game that benefit a lot from Evolve are Mogu Fleshshaper and Desert Hare, neither of which are particularly powerful as standalones and won't come down together with this before like turn 6 or 7.
I'm not saying this is bad or won't see play, but anyone who compares this to Evolve Shaman from Doom Tomb days is being silly. Hell, Evolve wasn't even that big of a deal when it first came out.
This one, with it's 5mana cost, is even worse than the 3/3 minion for 3mana.
I don't see Evolve shaman be a thing - but hey, it's just the beginning of the reveal season - I have nothing against evolve proving me wrong :).

it's also not broken at all. it's cost means you have to play proactively and have a board leading into the turn you play it, instead of just coin+hair+evolve on turn 3 and auto win. Same with the other 3/3 evolve dude. this is how evolve should be really. value trade + evolve your minions instead of just vomiting stats on an empty board.
nice evolve effect weapon but 5 cost is a bit high imo. at the point you play this it will either be you wanting to evolve into a card to turn the game around or you are already leading the game to the point where this is unnecessary.
It's an "Ok" weapon, but i don't like too much. Sure...it's an "sticky evolve" but sometime u will want attack first with face to trade some taunt/minion and in that case u will lost all attack from your board. So, for me it's situazional and really meta dipendant
I'm tired of Evolve Shaman; can we give it a rest? For even a little bit? The card looks like it could be enjoyable to play with, but I doubt it will work out in actual play.

Evolve on a stick? This will be annoying af. Rated 5 stars.
I guess it belongs to the museum
Again? Desert hare is still in rotation..
Edit: saw some streamers underestimating this.. I think this is a sleeper.
Very good card.
How is everyone overestimating this thing?

I tried having fun once.
It was awful.

The 5 mana is the only balancing/saving grace ...
Also, I would NOT want to put my hand in there. It's... SQUISHY.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
It's pretty slow for an Evolve Effect, but still very powerful. Getting 3 4 Mana Minions on t6 and dealing 4 Damage is quite the Swing.
At least it's not as busted as Doom in the Tomb. You can actually do something against that.
Well, evolve is back...
Hope you didn't dust your Desert Hare.
Still seems a bit slow to me
Bit slow, but really powerfull in the right deck. Desert Hare says hi.
Would probably work great in a quest deck with understatted minions?

Too slow, and too expensive to guarantee a board with adequately-sized minions.
Looks good on paper, but isn't going to work in reality.
This will be in the balance version of evolve shaman. Fun but not OP
