It's a quite sticky minion thank to Carrion Studies it can be played earlier than 5.... and there's still some DR synergy in hunter.. there's also the prime.. the DR hunter failed last expansion but it got nice tools this time around.

Hunter has Carrion Studies to make it come out cheaper and the means to abuse the deathrattle while Druid could ramp into it or buff it up with Embiggen or Survival of the Fittest, it will be interesting to see if this can find success in either of those lists.

Hunter: Super solid card, also has a lot of synergy with Pack Tactics. This also seems like a good control hunter card? Will probably see a lot of play in OTK Hunter and deathrattle hunter. also because you can discover it from Carrion Studies you WILL see it a lot more frequently.
Druid: As we all saw in the stream, this card is nuts after it get's buffed. Will see play in big spell/Kael'thas Sunstrider Druid. Super solid card.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

It is 2 bodies that your opponent has to worry about in one card. It has Taunt which forces your opponent to trade into it, but even then it leaves behind more stats your opponent has to trade into. I imagine most of the time this will be able to trade into 2-3 things just about every single time you play it. In that sense, it gives you card advantage, it also protects your health total which is something druids will be very grateful for. 4/5 stars.

Good stats and effect, good card overall. When I started playing this deck I got more into it because a friend told me to use the duest I have to make 2 Piloted Shredder which I put in all my decks, and since the drops are random it always generated different minions which made the matches different. So yeah, I love this kind of cards.
This can summon zixxor as well as some useless 1/1 rabbits or 2/2 beetle :(

Well, we know from EVERY STANDARD DRUID DECK right now what happens when you start spamming 3-mana beasts. You have your gold (Diving Gryphon, Ironfur Grizzly, etc.) and your whiffs (Ironbeak Owl, Desert Hare).

I think this is good. The 4/5 Taunt is a decently formidable wall, and the only bad pulls you can get this from are Desert Hare and Ironbeak Owl. Even just putting a 3/2 on the body with no ability from this is pretty good.
Love this card. Just a solid 5 drop with a decent deathrattle.
If it didn't have taunt this card would be unplayable, but it has, so it merits some thought. This alongside with Twilight Runner (druid exclusive unfortunately) would be main reasons for playing Guardian Animals.
Am looking forward to playing deathrattle hunter and this card will certainly be in my list.
Umm... a decent card. Solid body to defend you, summons a good minion on average. Not a bad card, but my concern is where this can be slotted into. Highlander Hunter? Maybe? Deathrattle Hunter is something interesting, but in Standard, it's probably going to be hard for that deck to relive the 2018 days. It's certainly closer due to Shan'do Wildclaw and Mok'Nathal Lion, but there's no Carnivorous Cube and as big of a payoff. And there's obviously no Deathstalker Rexxar, althought this card is definitely a nice addition to DK, as Taunts are valuable.
3.5/5

a 5 mana 4/5 with taunt is GOOD, but not GREAT. Druid and Shaman have a 4/5 with taunt that restores 5 health at 4 mana.
Even with the deathrattle that summons a random 3 drop minion.
Fortunately Hunter and Druid have ways to make this minion BETTER.
BOTH share the legenday minion Shan'do Wildclaw, a 3 mana 3/3 minion that can either transform into a friendly beast. If Shan'do is played on curve and you choose the option to give your beasts in deck +1/+1 this minion is now a VERY SOLID 5/6 with taunt and deathrattle for 5 mana. They can also play Guardian Animals which will allow you to pull this beast and another for 7 - 10 mana worth of minions for 7 is a fair price.
Outside of Shan'do both classes also have ways to buff the minion - Druids saw their spell Embiggen to be very popular during DoD with the Strength in numbers sidequest - I fully believe this minion will benefit from both spells. Hunters have Scavenger's Ingenuity to draw this beast and give it +2/+2 in hand, and have Scrap shot for an additional +3/+3. if played in this order Teacher's Pet can become a massive 9/10 by turn 5. Ramkahen Wildtamer can also duplicate this minion in hand, along with Hunting Party
A new Rare Druid/Hunter Minion, Teacher's Pet, has been revealed!

There's the new 5 - Cost card that makes the new Druid/Hunter spell decent. :D
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Just a solid card I guess. Don't think it's good enough for any real deck though, but I might be wrong.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
A decent sticky minion, but given that sludge belcher has already fallen out of favour, I can't imagine that this will fare a lot better.
This post is discussing the wild format.

Carrion, my wayward grub.

Decent stats altogether, but a bit on the expensive side for hunter, and Beasts haven’t been too great so far with Druid over the years
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Looks like it might be pretty reliant on buffs to be anything incredible, but is decent on it's own. It's like Mounted Raptor, but with taunt.

10/10 pun right there.

Strong defensive card - good stats overall!
Beast / Big Druid will defenitely be a thing!

Not too exciting, but this can slow down aggro for those beast 'drunter' archetype.
