Now I'm not a terribly competitive HS player, so I don't play an awful lot of ladder, usually just a burst at the end of the month to get to rank 5-ish. As such I don't have any golden portraits.
One thing I keep noticing is that the number of wins on classes that I'm not really active with at the moment seems to go down with time. Even my least favourite classes had at least double digit wins last time I checked and now there are classes with only single-digit numbers of registered wins. For example, I played a bunch of aggro rogue during the Genn and Baku meta and now it says I have 19 wins with Rogue, which is absolutely not correct.
Is this normal? Has anyone else noticed something similar? Am I slowly going mad?
If it is the case that wins reset between seasons/rotations or w/e, I'd find that pretty demotivating - after all what's the point of slowly building up wins if they just disappear into the aether- but I'd like to know about it at least.
Wins definitely shouldn’t be decreasing over time. Either it’s bugged at the moment, or you are just going mad.
Best way to make sure would probably be taking a screenshot of it every now and then and comparing them when you think it’s gone down
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?

Yeah I absolutely should have documented this, like I said it's not the first time I think this has happened to me. However, every time it was easier to rationalise it away as something normal (like wins dropping after a year or w/e) and/or me being crazy. The other weird thing is that this doesn't seem to be happening to others, which is usually the case with bugs.
Wins definitely do not degrade. I have classes I've barely touched in months and they still have exactly the same number of wins as always. This is probably abundantly obvious, but there are two steps to increasing the class wins recorded:
1. You have to win (super duper obvious).
2. It has to be a ladder win, not a casual win.
Maybe some of the wins you are remembering with Baku rogue were in casual mode?
Never noticed, can't prove, but my counters look reasonable to me.
It may be indeed a misplacement of Casual/Ranked (you played Casual believing it was Ranked) and/or other errors of perception (not necessarily being mad, human brain simply whiffs sometimes, it happens to everyone).
Especially if most of your impressions are based on indicative numbers, rather than the actual sight of the numeric counter displaying decreasing numbers in time.
A bug is not impossible ofc, but unlikely, given these elements.
While I've never paid attention to win counters of many Classes, I doubt that it decay over time. Maybe you remember wrong or it may also be a bug: try to post on the HS official forum in the technical support section, usually they answer in decent time.

Mine are as low as always, not lower. So, I think either it is a problem just a little percentaje is having or you might be mistaken.
If it is a problem, I hope it gets fixed soon. Happened to me and a bunch of people in Battlefront II 2017 and the devs were capable of fixing the problem, so hope is never lost.

I keep track of my wins on Apple Notes, and they always equal exactly what I see in-game. Even classes that I haven’t played ranked with in months. I doubt they erode
Some people had an issue before that the counter did not go up if there was some old unfinished arena run. Maybe you know you were on 50 wins, then you won 3, so in your head you should be 53. Next time you look at your wins, you are 50 again. Try to have a look on arena.
I do what I must, when I must. Know this well.
I guess it´s just a bug - checked my games and some of my friends and the wins are still the same they were before!
