How many decks do you really need?

    Hey

I was wondering, how many decks are optimal when a new expansion comes out?

I have been saving gold like a mad man so I don't want to waste any of it. I noticed last expansion that after a certain amount of decks were opened I mostly got duplicates.

Also, do you get a better chance of getting legendaries by attending a fireside gathering pre-launch event?

Aberlour 18 Year Old, Balvenie DoubleWood 12, Caol Ila 12, The Arran Malt 14, Auchentoshan Three Wood, Kilchoman Islay 8th edition, Lagavulin 16 Year Old, Glenmorangie Signet, Talisker 10 Year Old.

    Hey,

Attending firesides does not increase your chances of a better pack opening. But no matter what, you do get a legendary in the first 10 packs. Legendaries also drop on average every 20 packs and no matter what, 1 in every 40 packs.

I would estimate ~30 packs is when you acquire more or less all of the commons and ~50-80 for rares from a given set, or at least reach such diminishing returns that it's easier to just craft the remaining ones you need. For epics and legendaries you'd probably have to open several times that amount to reasonably expect to own even half of the complete set.

Aaah I thought I read somewhere that during the opening week they slightly improve the percentage chance of getting legendaries to drop.
