Early Darkmoon achievements for XP

I saw a post somewhere that you can already finish some of the achievements for Darkmoon Faire, even it´s not launched yet and you don´t have specific Legendaries or cards. I can confirm you can manage to complete some of them, if you meet the requirements, but I believe you can only complete them in Ranked mode.

For example, I´ve "accidentally" completed  Paladin´s "Lothraxion´s Ballon Shop" just by playing Steward of Darkshire and summoning some dudes with HP or Muster for Battle, Lost in the Jungle... you get the idea. Or you can try it reversed, summon Dudes and use Coghammer or Purifier's Maul on them, I think it should work either way.

Others mention easy completion of Hunter´s "Ride together, Die together" by simply triggering Toxic Reinforcements, or copying the second deathrattle minion on board.

I´m sure there are more, I didn´t have much time to check them out, but if you found out some others, that can be completed now, please share them, so we can gain some sweet XP :)

EDIT: We´ve found another one: Shaman´s "Two Punch Man" is doable with Doomhammer and 2x Rockbiter Weapons, or with any super huge DH attack.

Another to achieve: You can complete the two neutral achievements "Yogg take the wheel" and "Wheel of Misfortune" by playing Casual Duels with mage when you are offered a loot with the new Yogg and manage to play him (The second one needs to be done 3 times with three different outcomes, but it´s not that hard to pull off).

This is great to hear and something we should probably find some room for on the homepage (especially if anyone finds other ways to complete achievements early).

Getting that XP early can get you some extra gold for DMF packs aka hell yeah!

    Thanks, Alleria!

Hey Flux, I´m glad you like the idea :) I´m affraid there won´t be much of them doable without new cards, but at least a few :) I just remembered someone said that Shamans "Two Punch Man" is doable with Doomhammer and 2x Rockbiter Weapons. Maybe it doesn´t even need to be Shaman class and we would be able to complete it with some huge DH attack. That´s why I wanted to share the ideas, others might find more and I can edit them to my main post afterwards.

I had "Two Punch Man" 10 of 16 before even attempting it. The only explanation I have is I managed to get DH 10 atk weapon and swung it to opponent face.

Howdy. Just want to say I completed the achievement "Ride together, Die together" by having 3 Khartut Defenders as a Priest.

Cool, so it seems you can complete the achievements with any class, and there are multiple ways to achieve them :)

Do we know if we can complete the Duels achievements that reward xp in Casual or is it only for playing Heroic?

Hey good catch, I didn´t know there were XP points for Duels too. I´ll try casual and let you know. Thanks for bringing this up!

EDIT: Okay can confirm that you can finish Duelist achievements in casual mode of Duels, which is great! :)

Okay, I´ve found another one, good for people who doesn´t open/want to craft the new Yogg-Saron legendary. I´ve managed to complete the achievement "Wheel of Misfortune" by playing Casual Duels with mage when I was offered a loot with the new Yogg (I even ended up with two of them by the end of the run).

Did you complete Wheel of Misfortune 2/2????

I achieved Yogg Take the Wheel in my first match after taking Yogg in a bucket & have done 2/3rds of Wheel of Misfortune 1/2.

    *******************************************************

I finished Wheel of Misfortune 1/2 so I'm currently going for the 2nd level of it along with You Can't Take it Off achievement. In my last game I managed to get Greybough from Jandice Barov, so Leaf Us Alone 1/3 is 2 out of 20  now, lol.

    *******************************************************

Switched to Shaman as I wasn't offered Mage and I was quickly able to complete Darkmoon Woodshop 1/3  in my 1st match thanks in part to Grand Totem Eys'or being in the totem pool when overloaded. **11/19 update** Just completed Darkmoon Woodshoop 2 & 3 while playing Totem Shaman in ranked standard. Love seeing two 15/15 Totem Goliath in action!

Hey Ferro, seems you did a bunch of work there :) I did not complete the Wheel of Misfortune 2/2, cause it´s very time consuming as you already know. Right now I´m working towards the Darkmoon Woodshop 3/3, because it seems the fastest. I make a deck with as much as Totems and cheap overload cards and try to roll Grand Totem Eys'or every turn possible or if I´m lucky, I can even get him in the pool of cards. Good luck on achieving more!

Does anyone know what these "Achievement Points" are good for? At first I thought I was getting XP for these, but then I noticed it was a separate thing.

You get xp for grinding the darkmoon achievements.

For the rest it goes to funding for an ever longer e-penis, as many would call it.

Well, sad to say these Achievement points are for nothing - they´re just "bragging" points, a visual number just like total wins. Only Achievements that give XP are those with the chest icon (in Darkmoon or Duels section), sadly others don´t count for it.

Hmm, ok. My "e-penis" is like over 8000 points long. Is that good? Does anyone really care?

Thanks for pointing this out, I had not noticed it myself. There are so damn may of them!

    I've just completed Duelist 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9. I'm currently 11-2 running Discardlock. I'll edit this post when it ends.

    EDIT

I lost to a Demon Hunter who had 2 cost or under minions have poisonous. Happy about the 5,800 xp to get me to level 22 though.

Sorry you´ve lost, but still 5,800 XP is pretty sweet :) Grats! My highest win in Duels is only 6 by now.
