TLDR: Send me a DM and I'll send you a Steam key for my new single player card game, Tales of the Deck.
The land is in danger, and retro RPG card strategy is its only hope! Gather a party of three brave pixel heroes, each with unique spell cards. As a single player, adventure through a series of monsters and tactical challenges. Fall in battle, and your story is cut short. Should you defeat the evil bosses, your story will be forever told in the Tales of the Deck.
This release marks the beginning of our alpha testing, and we want you! Yes, YOU! In the near future, we'll be entering early access on Steam. We have a set of core rules, but would like to grow the game over time with the help of our players. That's where you come in. You got ideas? We want them. Is something OP? Let us know. Found a bug? Well, you get the idea.
Do you have what it takes? Then send me a DM, and I'll send you a Steam product key for alpha testing.
We'll take feedback through any medium we can get it, but we try to keep in-depth discussions to our discord (https://discord.gg/S9zDcpQ). That way we can get the community in on the conversation. Stop on by, and join the fun.
Looks interesting and very retro! I'll send you a DM on Discord to get a key so I can check it out.
"To build or destroy...only you decide which joy." - Last Crack
After playing it last night and most of today I can say it is really a fun and challenging game. I definitely enjoyed it and can't wait to see how you continue to improve it. If you haven't tried it yet, you should!
(Send me a message to get an alpha key)
Deep within the forest, there is a great battle. The nearby villagers look out to it on the horizon. It could not be ignored, for the clashes of steel taint the night, and the crisp glow of the arcane paint the shadows. They fear. Not for what is happening, but for what's about to come.
Our heroes are locked in combat against the swarm of the Widow. Their focus cannot be broken as they brave forward. Had it broken the signs would have been clear. The once tranquil forest has become restless. As the leaves have burned and the trees fallen from the conflict, the spirit of the forest rises to defend itself. The earth shakes violently as the forest uproots.
Our heroes are in peril...
Introducing 3 new bosses from the heart of the forest. The Treeant and the Moon Oak have risen up against you. And there is another. It is everywhere, and it is all things around you. Be wary brave heroes, for the forest fights back!
Updated to Game Client v0.1.1
- Introducing 3 new bosses!- The "end turn" button will skip the discard phase if you have no cards in hand.- There is a button to return to the main menu from the victory or defeat screen.- Game client no longer pauses when in the background.- Fixed a bug where battle animations were not spawning at a characters position.- The deck editor respects the character limits for deck name and description.
Just a heads up. We ran out of keys for Tales of the Deck, but will be giving out more in the future. I'll keep you posted.
Are you Confused? You will be!
Next week we will be introducing new cards for the Cleric that utilize the Confuse status effect. A confused character will deal 2 damage to a random ally at the end of its turn. Just target a high power enemy, and let them do the work for you! There might even be an enemy that brings the confusion.
Steam Keys? Livestream? Steam Keys!
Between Christmas and New Years we'll be doing a livestream to show off the game, and chat with you all about it. During this event, we'll be handing out a bunch of steam keys. If you missed it the first time around, this could be your chance!

After playing it last year and most of today I can say it is really interesting and challenging game. I definitely like it and can't wait to see how you continue to recover it. If you haven't tried it yet, you must! I am also mobile game development too.
Thanks for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed it. If it's not too much trouble, a positive review on Steam goes a long way for us.
For anyone interested, we are now available on Steam in the Early Access program.
