Not pushing anything else out today so here's our changelog.

A special thanks NerdyMcNerd for pointing out I've been putting 2020 in the titles. Gotta love a fantastic copy-paste job!

    Additions & Changes

    General

    • Improved loading of our custom Fonts for a small speed increase.
    • Added additional lazyloading across the site.
      • Chrome users, this doesn't help you as much as Firefox because of how ridiculous Google is with considering how far "the fold" is. Morons.
    • Removed unused JavaScript.

    Hearthstone

    • Decks
      • Deck pages now display a fourth button in the sidebar to allow you to copy a deck's image.
        • Please note that when you first save a deck this will not display.
        • Please note that when you update a deck, the new image will not immediately be available.
        • Images are queued up for processing after your deck has been saved. We can't render them during the web request - that isn't a good idea!
        • If no one else is creating decks, your image is usually created with 15 seconds of your deck being saved.

    Bugfixes

      • Threads will now correctly update again when community members reply to them.

Great addition to the Hearthstone decks, kudos!

I have 2 suggestions for the generated decklist image to make them a little bit prettier:

    - Apply the various rarity colors inside the cardname text

    - Increase the opacity value to see the card images better

We won't be adding rarity colors to name text, it just kinda looks like vomit and anyone else generating similar images isn't doing it as well (I assume for similar reasons).

The biggest issue with having the card images stand out more is it gets a bit busy. There were many iterations of these images with different levels of opacity. Some cards look really good with a brighter look, but others not as much. The current version is what I would consider being a good overall compromise.

Several cards don't even look great alone because crops aren't even good. Some art just can't be cropped good to fit in a small line like that, you see this even in the in-game collection manager. You've also got spells that aren't even immediately identifiable by image since you aren't used to seeing them always since they don't sit on the in-game field. There's a lot of reasons why crops aren't great and are really only there to break things up a bit and make the images less dull.

    Sidenotes:

    • Doing mana costs is something I am considering adding. We could pull an HSR with it and use that to indicate the rarity of a card.
    • I'd like short links up on the images so people know where they can grab the deck code should the image get shared around without the deck url.
    • Dust costs also need to be added.
    • I want to get archetype-specific backgrounds because it would look much more awesome.
      • The only risk is having to do a lot of updating when rotations happen due to card changes.
      • Less of an issue for a deck like "Watch Post Rogue" where we aren't likely to get other watch posts, but "Freeze Mage" could easily see very different ideas.
