Awesome 12-Win Hearthstone Duels Decks to Cruise Into the End of September

Rating 5.00/5 (6 Votes)

Greetings and welcome back to our usual Duels meta report!

This September has been quite interesting so far: despite Meek Mastery moving to tier 2 being the only balance change Duels has received since the launch of United in Stormwind, the meta is yet to be stale. Sure, the top dogs are well known and well established, and in some way we hope for Team 5 to significantly shake up things very soon, but on the other hand, people are still experimenting with new builds or different takes on already good decks.

Below you'll find both new builds and different takes on the existing powerhouses with the hope that you'll be able to have some fun throughout your runs!

In case you missed our previous articles, we published other collections of 12-win Duels starting decks to take inspiration from!

If you've had 12 win luck in Duels since the recent balance changes, be sure to add your starting decks to our site via the deckbuilder and share them in the comments below!

Moreover, if you manage to find even more 12-wins decks (maybe even your own!) and you'd like us to showcase them, please contact us on Twitter at @OutOfCardsHS or @Avalon_OOC or through an in-site ping in Private Message.

Roost442's 12 Wins Soul Demon Hunter (Master Duelist 1.2)

Let's start with a bang: Roost was able to get a 12-0 with Soul Demon Hunter, an archetype you don't see every day in Duels. Moreover, this result was accomplished while competing in 'From Zero To Hero', our Duels deckbuilding challenge that requires you to build a starting deck containing at least one card from each mana cost (from 0 to 10 mana). If you want to learn more, be sure to check the challenge's main page and the submission thread, where you'll find all the deck people have been using so far to compete!

Now for the deck itself, it combines the Soul Fragment synergy with the ability of the class to increase its hero's attack and push damage: Spirit Jailer and Luckysoul Hoarder will provide healing (and occasional card draw), while cards like Marrowslicer and Stiltstepper will give you the damage you need to finish off your foes.

Since this is your game plan and you're planning on using your hero power a lot, Traktamer Aelessa instantly becomes one of the best Signature Treasures you could ask for, which is even more surprising given that the card has seen little to no play so far, especially in a class with strong tools like Blade of Quickening and Gift of the Legion.

Ail's 12 Wins Discovery Mage

If you had any doubts Rally the Troops is good.. well, check this out. Ail definitely find a very unconventional way to get to 12 wins with Mage: no Quests, no Spell Damage, no Fire - just Discover and Battlecries. Which, by the way, shows you show how hard sheer synergy can carry you.

sebz's 12 Wins C'thun Priest

How about some C'thun Priest to spice up your week? This Old God usually pairs up well with Warrior, given Ancient Shieldbearer's Armor gain and Bruising's general usefulness, but Priest has constant healing and cycle thanks to Shadow Mend, as well as lots of cheap removals and the OP OP Shadow Word: Void.

Definitely a different play style than C'Thun Warrior, but very likely refreshing and still fun!

ultrarotom's 12 Wins Miracle Priest

Miracle Priest with a large minion package is slowly gaining popularity: but why though? Not only does this deckbuilding choice gives you more resources by cycling through your deck or generating new ones, its also a matter of Passive Treasures. In fact, this way you'll be good with both spell-related and Battlecry-related Passives, increasing your odds to pick a synergistic (and therefore useful) Passive for your run.

Getting either All Together Now and Rally the Troops or Fireshaper and [Hearthstone Card (ooops, all spells!) Not Found] means that you'll have a very solid support for you run!

Ultrarotom also gave us some suggestions in regards of the starting deck, as you can see in the tweet below.

Quote From ultrarotom

Void Shard and Holy Fire are good and I used to run them in the past, but I don't bother using them in my starter deck anymore. In the early rounds you win many games due to Shadow Word: Void and/or Voidtouched Attendant anyway.

P.S.: Wipe was able to hit 12 wins with the exact same starting deck, with the only different that they got offered Battlecry-related passives and not spell-related ones. The result, however, was the same!

slimboo's 12 Wins Spell Rogue

Getting good results with Spell Rogue is difficult, because you need very specific Passive Treasures, namely [Hearthstone Card (ooops, all spells!) Not Found], but when you do... oh boy, you're in for a good run.

Not much to say other than the fact that you should build your deck entirely thinking about your long-run game plan and cross your fingers.

absolutely easy with [Hearthstone Card (ooops, all spells!) Not Found]

Felt like free wins.

simotuki11247's 12 Wins Elemental Shaman

While Elemental Shaman is a well established top-tier archetype in Duels, simotuki added a bit of creativity to their personal starting XV.

While Fire Plume Harbinger, Canal Slogger and Servant of Kalimos are not core cards and the piloting player is the one that gets to decide whether to include them or not, the big surprise is Bolner Hammerbeak. Glorified in the reveal season, this unit has performed well under the community's expectations, but Elemental Shaman could be a place for Bolner to shine.

In fact, this archetype features a lot of cheap and impactful Battlecries, and Bolner can easily chain them for massive draw (Primal Dungeoneer) or discount effect (Fire Plume Harbinger). All in all, a slightly different way to play a strong deck, so if you're not feeling particularly inspired by your Heroes pick at the start of the run, consider giving this list a shot.

OhNoesHS' 12 Wins Soul Warlock

Well, at this point we can just say that we found our Duels Warlock expert. OhNoes came back to their original winning starting deck and implemented Golakka Crawler in order to improve the Pirate Raid the Docks Warrior matchup and, it seems, the choice definitely paid off.

Other than that, the starting list is pretty much the same: cheap Battlecry units that generate either value or Soul Fragments in order to get to the sweet sweet All Together Now/Rally the Troops combo, which is really what makes the deck going.
