Scholomance Academy Arena Impact - Demon Hunter Cards
Soulciologist Malicia - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Soulciologist Malicia by AbusingKel
Weak body for the cost so it's pretty bad without adequate Soul Fragment support. All it takes is 1 3/3 rush to make this a solid value play and it will snowball fast if you get more than that.
Soulciologist Malicia by Boozor
Card is decent with 1 3/3 summon. Needs to be more shard generators for this to be more viable.
Soulciologist Malicia by sinti
Amazing if you have Soul Fragments in your deck, horrible otherwise.
Star Student Stelina - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Star Student Stelina by AbusingKel
Looks strong but that Outcast requirement can be awkward and a 4/3 for 4 mana isn't great. When lined up with two other legendary cards in your draft, you'll be hoping for a better option.
Star Student Stelina by Boozor
Disruptive card and can be very powerful, however pretty situational. It's effect can have no effect or be game winning. The outcast requirement might also make it a bit awkward as well. Body is not great on curve either.
Star Student Stelina by sinti
Pretty powerful effect, especially in Arena. Knowing what your opponent has AND removing one of the cards? That is pretty huge. I guess it doesnt do much for you in terms of tempo/board presence, but the information gained and the card advantage will probably be enough for this card to perform very well.
Ace Hunter Kreen - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Ace Hunter Kreen by AbusingKel
Deathspeaker is one of my absolute favorite arena cards, and always provides a great tempo turn. This guy is basically a recurring version of that and protects your entire board. Immediately one of the best arena cards in the set for Hunter and Demon Hunter.
Ace Hunter Kreen by Boozor
Insane legendary, permanent Deathspeaker effect, also affects your face as well.
Ace Hunter Kreen by sinti
Super powerful ability, if you go 1st and can free trade into your opponent's 2drop with yours and then continue to do so, this can just win you the game on the spot on T3, if your opponent does not have a removal for this. And at any point in the game, 3 mana is cheap enough to combo that with other stuff, really powerful card for Arena.
Ancient Void Hound - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Ancient Void Hound by AbusingKel
Another very strong addition to the demon hunter arsenal. It's a supercharged version of Dread Infernal with a persistent ability that also steals attack points. It even allows you to hero power so you can take that 2 health minion down to 1 and ensure its death. Crazy card.
Ancient Void Hound by Boozor
Really strong affect but for 9 mana, and only 1 damage worth of initiative, it's a hard card to squeeze into a deck. But this is a win condition no doubt.
Ancient Void Hound by sinti
This card is pretty strong, it is Despicable Dreadlord on steroids. You will not play anything on the turn you drop this, but it is pro-active enough that it should be ok. Huge monster that lowers the attack of enemy minions and potentially kills some of them on the turn its played? Yeah, this is good.
Trueaim Crescent - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Trueaim Crescent by AbusingKel
This looks OP AF to me. Taunt can make it awkward, but if there's no taunt to contend with on your opponent's side, this is granting a second attack for all your minions. Attack (mostly face) with your minions then hit the opponent's scariest minion with this weapon and your minions use a second attack to take it down. Order will be important and there's certainly room for some "small indie company" code issues, but this looks really strong.
Trueaim Crescent by Boozor
Not sure if this is a good effect or not - I guess this allows your minions to attack twice if necessary.
Trueaim Crescent by sinti
I think this card will be awkward to play with at times, but the potential to take control of the board, or get extra synergy off your minions' abilities from attacking or dying can be very powerful. I expect this card might be a sleeper card in Arena, not exactly as, but close to Supercollider.
Felosophy - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Felosophy by AbusingKel
Draft dependent cards like this tend to get the middle-ground grade of 3. This will have high variance. In a deck with good synergy it will be incredible. Draft it late only if you have enough demons to get the value.
Felosophy by Boozor
Its occasionally a dead card, or draw 1 card for 1 mana, or draw 1 card + small tempo gain.
Even with more playable demons right now in the pool, I don't like that this card is a bit inconsistent.
Card draw more important to DH then warlock
Felosophy by sinti
Well, solely draft dependent. If you can copy pretty much any Demon with this then the card is great, tho it would still be a pretty bad top-deck even with plenty Demons in your deck. Don't know, you might want to skip this even in Demon heavier decks, we'll see.
Cycle of Hatred - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Cycle of Hatred by AbusingKel
Wow. More crazy power level in Demon Hunter cards for this set, so far. This card is guaranteed to induce many, many, rage-quits. In a class that has good early minions and a cheap attack hero power, it'll be pretty easy to get your opponent's minions into range and turn your own damaged minions into a 3/3.
Cycle of Hatred by Boozor
This card is insane. It works on your own tokens and if you're playing this against your opponent you will almost certainly come out ahead. It's expensive but the tempo swing is great.
Cycle of Hatred by sinti
This card is beyond insane for Arena. It is Hellfire(ish) that can replenish your board in the process. This card will make it a nightmare to play against Demon Hunter in the late game. It will be a constant threat and possibility to flip the game on the spot.
Glide - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Glide by AbusingKel
Draw 4 cards for 4 mana is very good. Getting the outcast effect right will be pretty tricky but it should be manageable and could really wreck any opponent that has a big hand. I'm pretty excited to try this and find out!
Glide by Boozor
Situational card draw. You can wait this one out for the right moment - works well against Control decks similar to Divine Favor Occasionally with run into issues against other Aggro decks, or top deck situations. 4 mana draw 2 is still decent.
Glide by sinti
I really want to like this for DH in Arena, but I'm not too sure. The Outcast effect might screw you hard, but it can also screw your opponent hard. I really don't know right now. I think it will depend on how will the meta look like. Have to go with an average score right now.
Shardshatter Mystic - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Shardshatter Mystic by AbusingKel
Highly draft dependent, which generally means it's unreliable. In any deck that gets good Soul Fragment synergy, this will easily play like a 5 star card. Very strong potential to flip a board entirely for a low cost and leave a body behind.
Shardshatter Mystic by Boozor
The ability is strong but situational. Gives DH another powerful AOE threat.
Shardshatter Mystic by sinti
Very draft dependent and then you have to play cards that generate Soul Fragments first and then you have to be in a spot where you want to use this before you draw all the Fragments. It can definitely be very powerful, but i expect it will be too inconsistent and playing it just for the body is horrible.
Magehunter - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Magehunter by AbusingKel
Great functionality to have on a rush minion. In an aggressive class this could easily be the piece you need to get by a taunt for the finishing blow. The synergy with Ace Hunter Kreen is outstanding if you get lucky.
Magehunter by Boozor
2/3 mana Ironbeak Owl ? Instead of a targeted effect like Owl, you get an extra 2hp and the ability to deal damage immediately. It's an upgrade. DH with another silence effect is interesting.
Magehunter by sinti
Rush is good, Silence is good, but stats on this are pretty terrible. Would be Earth Shock that costs 3 mana and deal 2 damage be any good? Im honestly not sure. Obviously this is a bit better than that most of the time, but it might just not cut it for Arena.
Soul Shear - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Soul Shear by AbusingKel
Great card. Cheap blast to a minion that, at worst, shuffles in some healing. About the only way it isn't great value would be drawing the fragments with full health. In these 2 classes, that would also probably mean you're way ahead in the match.
Soul Shear by Boozor
Standard damage per mana and probably the main shard engine revealed so far.
Soul Shear by sinti
Early removal and brings additional synergy. Amazing card.
Demon Companion - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Demon Companion by AbusingKel
Each minion is half the stats of the original, 3 mana beast version from [Hearthstone Card (Aminal Companion) Not Found] and the price tag is great. Sign me up for as many of these as possible in upcoming drafts.
Demon Companion by Boozor
Options are strong - better in DH then hunter due to synergies.
Demon Companion by sinti
Amazing 1-drop, which triggers Spellburst. Great card.
Fel Guardians - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Fel Guardians by AbusingKel
This needs to be discounted down to 3 mana to be good. That may happen quickly in drafts that get a strong, cheap, aggressive build but even then you're going to need this in your hand to get the discount. A bit awkward since you don't want a 7 cost card early unless you know you've got a great start at mulligan. However, if you have that great mulligan, how badly do you think you'll need the 1/2 taunts? Curious to see it in action since the cost-reduction cards always seem very strong.
Fel Guardians by Boozor
Not bad not great - it'll work faster in smaller token decks, but overall don't see this being insane. You'll need at least to bring it down to 4 for this to be great.
Fel Guardians by sinti
I think this card might be too slow for Arena, because you need to have it in hand to lower its cost. Not sure, but im not very optimistic about this one.
Soulshard Lapidary - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Soulshard Lapidary by AbusingKel
An average body for the cost with a battlecry that is draft dependent. It will be quite strong if the deck has the required synergy, though.
Soulshard Lapidary by Boozor
Dependent on the availability of shards - with expansion bonus, should be relatively frequent. Most of the cards shown are decent. This card is insane if you get the battlecry off.
Soulshard Lapidary by sinti
Obviously draft dependent, but even the stats for the cost are good enough already, so picking this early and maybe getting some Soul Fragment generators later on is not going to be a bad choice.
Blood Herald - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Blood Herald by AbusingKel
I think both classes can certainly get a draft that supports this but, like [Hearthstone Card (Fel Gaurdians) Not Found], there's an awkwardness to having it in hand early and having the minion support to make it gain stats quickly. Too unreliable for me.
Blood Herald by Boozor
Not sold on this either - it's very slow, and inconsistent - however due to the success of Netherdamus, this card can't be ignored.
Blood Herald by sinti
Not the worst card ever and it can be pretty good depending on your deck, but you still need to hold it in hand for a few turns to get a decent value, which might be a problem, especially if you top-deck it later on.
Vilefiend Trainer - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Vilefiend Trainer by AbusingKel
Strong, aggressive stats for the cost and the outcast will make it feel OP. In arena the cards leave your hand pretty fast so meeting the outcast requirement shouldn't be too hard.
Vilefiend Trainer by Boozor
Good stats and upside. Nice solid drop.
Vilefiend Trainer by sinti
Amazing Arena card, the 5/4 statline is pretty decent for its cost and the ability can push the tempo in your favor. Anytime you top-deck this after T4 it will be a decent play.
Marrowslicer - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Marrowslicer by AbusingKel
An aggressive weapon that will shuffle in some life gain or triggers for other synergies if your draft supports it. Not the greatest weapon by any stretch but nearly all weapons are strong for their ability to take the initiative.
Marrowslicer by Boozor
Arcanite Reaper or delayed Truesilver Champion - pretty insane card, lots of reach potential as well.
Marrowslicer by sinti
Pretty much the "perfect" weapon, 4/2 for 4 are one of the strongest weapons in the game stats vs cost wise and this is no different. If you draw the shards, it is basically delayed Truesilver Champion, but you can get powerful additional synergy off Fragments with other cards.
Spirit Jailer - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Spirit Jailer by AbusingKel
Excellent 1 drop that offers healing to classes that will always need it. Great way to start the game aggressively and trigger other Soul Fragment synergies if you were lucky enough to draft them. Maybe a score of 5 is a bit aggressive for a 1 drop, though.
Spirit Jailer by Boozor
Good stats, demon tag, and shard generator for all your shard needs. Will be drafted highly to fuel those types of decks.
Spirit Jailer by sinti
Great 1-drop and strong additional synergy.
Double Jump - Demon Hunter Arena Review
Double Jump by AbusingKel
Draw is always good and this is about as cheap as draw gets in a collectible card. It will also make the card you draw fit the outcast criteria again, as long as you can afford it on the same turn. Should be a good cycle card.
Double Jump by Boozor
Draws a card in the outcast position - can be very powerful.
Double Jump by sinti
Obviously draft dependent, but you shouldnt have problems getting Outcast cards, this then tutors them and is a cheap Spellburst activator.
