Counter-Aggression Galakrond Warrior

This deck's singular purpose is to effectively deal with hyperaggressive decks with tempo-efficient plays. Warmaul Challenger is extraordinarily efficient at picking off low-health or low-attack minions, and there's hardly a turn one play Ritual Chopper can't deal with. Meanwhile, Bladestorm makes for a cheap board clear that can be played early to stop your opponent's board from snowballing out of control. In a similar vein, Reaper's Scythe gives you the option to cut down your opponent's health or threaten to clear the board, more so if you have Awaken! in hand. I originally had Restless Mummy in the list since it worked well in conjunction with Athletic Studies and Galakrond, the Unbreakable's battlecry, but Scion of Ruin generally outlcasses it, and Reaper's Scythe's damage output as well as its ability to go face also makes it a superior option. Athletic Studies does still work well with both of them, but all that knowledge really shines through when it lets you bring out Devoted Maniac or Kargath Bladefist on turn three. When the slicing and dicing of Bladestorm and the Scythe aren't enough, Brawl is a (mostly) reliable backup for when you fall substantially behind on board or just want to clear off a bunch of powerful minions. Likewise, Deathwing, Mad Aspect can clear bigger threats or wide boards while allowing you to develop a huge threat of your own. Alongside Deathwing, Troublemaker rounds out your high-end to give you that extra damage you need to push for lethal or finish off a couple of minions.

At this point, I should point out that this deck is not designed to effectively burst down heavy control decks. A lot of them run healing and minions this deck can't effectively remove, but it is definitely doable. Although, you're typically better off running a list with a lot more removal. Dealing with giant minions that are hard to remove just isn't what this deck was designed for. I'm not going to stop you from going down the control route and slotting in more removal or get in the way of you bringing out the Bombs, but if you just want to fight aggression with aggression, give this version a try.

Sometimes the best defense is with offense. Fight back against your opponent's onslaught, and earn the title of Unbreakable!
