It’s a fun deck but a little clunky. I like that it doesn’t include Maxima since trowing a Darkmoon tonk at your opponent is a little to good to be true. Oblivitron works surprisingly well! Especially with the brooms. While probably necessary, the ursatrons are oftentimes underwhelming when you get to resurrect your deathrattles. I found myself shuffling them away in the mulligan almost every time. They are a good plan B in lategame to find the much needed Tonks but serve no purpose early and are harmful for your resurrects. Now that I think of it, this deck could do really good with an eagle horn bow ... The biggest flaw of the deck is the lack of comeback potential. Compared to the face hunters, it can’t just close out the game without a board. So I made some changes and they feel very beneficial to win and keep the board early:
- 2x Carrion studies (there is a minor benefit in reducing the mana cost of your deathrattle minions but you pay with an early tempo loss. The discovered deathrattle is counter synergistic to your win strategy. It probably made the list just because it showed up when filtering the collection for “deathrattle” )
- 2x Mystery winner (secrets are cool but you got already a lot of them. I wasn’t lacking secrets for petting zoo a single time without this card)
+ 2x Dwarven sharpshooter
+ 2x tour guide
Those 2 allow you to capitalize greatly on your phase stalkers and gives a little more early board pressure. Especially the high roll Tour guide - Phase stalker - petting zoo is worth this inclusion.
