Riding on Shields Celestial Paladin

With the addition of Imprisoned Celestial, Paladin has hit a critical mass of Divine Shields. Normally, Balloon Merchant and Lothraxion the Redeemed feel like they overlap too much, but when you throw Blood Knight into the mix, it starts to feel great!

While this deck was built with the intent of taking advantage of Imprisoned Celestial's effect, but Blood Knight actually ended up being the star, taking advantage of all the Divine Shields to become an 18/18 or 21/21 on multiple occasions. The Libram package felt really good as well, with the Ancient Guardian from Libram of Hope providing one more shield as fuel for the meme. The deck can play out as a tempo deck or control deck depending on the match up, but in the mulligan, it's almost always correct to hold Aldor Attendant and Hand of A'dal. First Day of School, Murgur Murgurgle, and Day at the Faire are good keeps most of the time.

So, this was built as a meme deck, but with the 7 games so far (still a very small sample size), we won 6 of them... We got lucky a number of times, but I still see potential for this to be really powerful with some refinement! If you'd like to see the deck in action, we've made 2 highlight videos. Highlight 1 is at https://youtu.be/ih4c_xUimgs or below, and highlight 2 is at https://youtu.be/-I6QSKUhmGg or below. Have fun experimenting!
