Alternate Heroes are cosmetics designed to replace the default Hero portrait of the class. These alternate skins do not affect the gameplay, but merely add visual diversity to the game. All of them, apart from the 1000-win alternate portrait of the default hero, come with a unique set of emotes, and some of them also have their own thematic card backs. In this guide, we'll explain how to obtain Hunter's alternate Heroes which can be used to replace the default Hero, Rexxar.

For Hunter, thirty-five alternate Hero skins exist.

How to Obtain Alleria Windrunner in Hearthstone

Alleria Windrunner is a high elf who later became the first of the void elves. She is the oldest sister of Sylvanas and Vereesa Windrunner.

The skin could be purchased as a standalone item from the in-game shop for $9.99 USD from when it was first introduced on June 15th, 2015 until the skin rotated out of the shop on December 10th, 2019.

The skin came with a special card back.

The skin and card back returned to the shop on April 27th, 2021 and could be purchased for $6.99 for a limited time. The bundle's pricing was updated to $9.99 and it was made available for 1500 gold the following day. The offer lasted until May 4th. The skin and card back became available for purchase again on June 3rd, 2021 and can be bought for 1800 gold.

The skin was obtainable as a part of the Cookin' & Bakin' Bundle. The bundle was purchasable for 2500 Runestones ($24.98) from September 27th, 2022 until October 18th, and it included 5 Hunter and Mage packs as well as a special card back.

How to Obtain Black Ox Rexxar in Hearthstone

Black Ox Rexxar is another alternate version of the default hero Rexxar wielding the power of the August Celestial Niuzao, the Black Ox.

The skin was obtainable as a part of Sacred Celestials Bundle. The bundle was purchasable for $14.99 USD from January 25th, 2022 until February 15th, and it came with a special card back.

How to Obtain Lor'themar in Hearthstone

Lor'themar Theron is the Regent Lord of Quel'Thalas and has assumed the role of leader of all blood elves.

The skin could be obtained as a part of March of the Lich King Mega Bundle pre-order. This bundle was purchasable for $79.99 USD from November 1st, 2022 until the expansion launch on December 6th, and it included 80 March of the Lich King packs, 5 March of the Lich King Signature Golden packs, Path of Arthas Set, and 2 random Signature Legendary cards from the expansion.

Wanderer Rexxar is the alternate version of the default hero, Rexxar. Lore-wise, he's part of the Mok'Nathal Clan of half-ogre half-orcs, and rarely travels anywhere without his loyal bear companion Misha.

The skin can be obtained by reaching 1000 wins with Hunter in Ranked, Arena, or Duels game modes. The skin was first introduced in the Doom in the Tomb patch on October 8th, 2019.

Contrary to the other alternate Heroes, Wanderer Rexxar does not have a unique set of emotes.
