Alternate Heroes are cosmetics designed to replace the default Hero portrait of the class. These alternate skins do not affect the gameplay, but merely add visual diversity to the game. All of them, apart from the 1000-win alternate portrait of the default hero, come with a unique set of emotes, and plenty of them also have their own thematic card backs. In this guide, we'll explain how to obtain Warlock's alternate Heroes which can be used to replace the default Hero, Gul'dan.

For Warlock, eighteen alternate Hero skins exist:

How to Obtain Diver Nemsy in Hearthstone

Diver Nemsy is an alternate version of the Warlock hero Nemsy Necrofizzle, inspired by the Voyage to the Sunken City expansion.

The skin can be obtained by reaching level 60 of Voyage to the Sunken City Reward Track while owning the Tavern Pass.

How to Obtain Feast Nemsy in Hearthstone

Feast Nemsy is an alternate version of the Warlock hero Nemsy Necrofizzle.

The skin was obtainable as a part of the Feast Nemsy Bundle. The bundle was purchasable for $9.99 from June 1st, 2022 until June 14th, and it included 5 Warlock packs.

How to Obtain Fel Colossus Gul'dan in Hearthstone

Fel Colossus Gul'dan is another alternate version of the default hero, Gul'dan.

The skin was obtainable as a part of The Rusted Raiders Bundle or as a standalone skin. The bundle was purchasable for $29.99 USD and the single skin for $6.99 USD from November 16th, 2021 until December 6th.

The Rusted Raiders bundle also included a special card back that could also be obtained by buying the Infernal Armor Illidan Hero Set.

Felheart Gul'dan is another alternate version of the default hero, Gul'dan.

The skin can be picked as a reward from 10 options unlocked by reaching level 50 of Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Reward Track or level 100 of the subsequent expansions' Reward Tracks.

Hatcher Gul'dan is another alternate version of the default hero Gul'dan.

How to Obtain Mecha-Jaraxxus in Hearthstone

Mecha-Jaraxxus is a character unique to Hearthstone. In Hearthstone lore, he was built by Dr. Boom and he is the leader of the Rusted Legion in Outland.

The skin was obtainable as a part of The Boomsday Project Mega Bundle pre-order. This bundle was purchasable for $79.99 USD from July 10th, 2018 until the expansion launch on August 7th, and included 80 The Boomsday Project packs and a random Golden Legendary from the expansion.

As part of the bundle, a special card back was obtainable as well. However, the card back was also obtainable with the $49.99 pre-order which did not include the Hero skin.

The skin and card back returned to the shop on June 3rd, 2021 and could be purchased for $14.99 until June 15th.

Mogu'shan Gul'dan is another alternate version of the default hero, Gul'dan.

The skin was obtainable as a part of the Evil from Pandaria Bundle. The bundle was purchasable for $9.99 from February 1st, 2022 for a limited time.

How to Obtain Nemesis Gul'dan in Hearthstone

Nemesis Gul'dan is another alternate version of the default hero Gul'dan clad in World of Warcraft's Tier 2 armor Nemesis Raiment.

The skin can be picked as a reward from 10 options unlocked by the Tavern Regular achievement. The achievement has ten tiers, with a new tier unlocked at every 200 overall levels in reward tracks.

How to Obtain Nemsy Necrofizzle in Hearthstone

Nemsy Necrofizzle is a character unique to Hearthstone. She can be seen in the card arts of Fen Creeper and Bog Creeper.

The skin can be obtained by participating in a Fireside Brawl at an established Fireside Gathering Tavern. This promotion began on October 17th, 2017.

The skin could also be redeemed for free from the in-game shop from May 12th, 2020 until May 26th.

This bundle was purchasable for $79.99 USD from October 22nd, 2020 until the expansion launch on November 17th, and included 80 regular and 5 golden Madness at the Darkmoon Faire packs, Battlegrounds Perks, early access to the Duels game mode, and a random Golden Legendary from the expansion.

As part of the bundle, a special card back was obtainable as well. However, the card back is also obtainable with the $39.99 pre-order which does not include the Hero skin.

How to Obtain Shadow Gul'dan in Hearthstone

Shadow Gul'dan is the alternate version of the default hero, Gul'dan. Lore-wise, he was the first orcish Warlock and responsible for the orcs' enslavement by the demons.

The skin can be obtained by reaching 1000 wins with Warlock in Ranked or Arena game modes. The skin was first introduced in the Doom in the Tomb patch on October 8th, 2019.

Contrary to the other alternate Heroes, Shadow Gul'dan does not have a unique set of emotes.

The skin could be obtained as a part of Shadowmoon Gul'dan Bundle. This bundle was purchasable for $9.99 USD starting on July 20th, 2021 until July 27th, and it included 5 Warlock Class packs.
