United in Stormwind

United in Stormwind is a Hearthstone patch released on July 27, 2021. It was versioned 21.0.0 with the build number 88998. It was released during the expansion United in Stormwind

New Collectible Cards

New cards have been added to the game.

New Demon Hunter Cards

  • Jace Darkweaver - As a former mage, making the transition from fire to felfire was quite easy.
  • Final Showdown - Finally. The last Hearthstone card.
  • Felgorger - The 'everything green' diet.
  • Lion's Frenzy - Only as sharp as your draw.
  • Persistent Peddler - Loves pyramid schemes and bike rides.
  • Chaos Leech - Otherwise known as a nematode.
  • Sigil of Alacrity - Red means stop. Purple means GO REALLY FAST.
  • Irebound Brute - "You don't understand… ogres are an untapped market for vengeance and hatred!"
  • Fel Barrage - Kurtrus leapt over a tombstone towards the demonic invaders, yelling "PEW! PEW!" as he shot them down with fel magic.
  • Metamorfin - Always wanted to be the green ranger.

New Druid Cards

  • Sheldras Moontree - Sheldras really went to the park for his pilgrimage.
  • Lost in the Park - Mister, have you seen my Archdruid?
  • Oracle of Elune - Even the moon goddess needs to back up her databases.
  • Composting - The Treants really give their bodies to the cause.
  • Kodo Mount - No matter how big they are or how many times you tell them no, they STILL won't stay off the couch.
  • Park Panther - Somebody called animal control once. It didn't work out very well for anybody.
  • Vibrant Squirrel - Oh, they're cute now. Just wait till they unleash a Savage Roar.
  • Best in Shell - The agility course takes a while.
  • Wickerclaw - They say pets tend to look like their owners.
  • Sow the Soil - "I'M NOT A TAILOR!"

New Mage Cards

  • Grand Magus Antonidas - He's really disappointed Jaina became a frost mage.
  • Sorcerer's Gambit - After "the incident," the Stockades really had to reevaluate their anti-mage protocols.
  • Clumsy Courier - Not the nacho cheese!
  • Ignite - "So there I was in the Deadmines, I had VanCleef by the throat, and I was just about to let him have it when... <sniff> What's that smell?"
  • Sanctum Chandler - Has been burning at both ends to keep the place illuminated.
  • Celestial Ink Set - "Dear Mother, I have a lot of spells and burst in my hand. You should maybe run more armor and healing next time. Cordially, Your child"
  • First Flame - You never forget your first love: fire.
  • Fire Sale - Everything is 50% off now that our warehouse burned down.
  • Prestor's Pyromancer - Ah, yeah. This guy. Definitely not an evil dragon in disguise either.
  • Hot Streak - It's easy to catch fire when you're on fire.

New Paladin Cards

  • Highlord Fordragon - "Through my faith and my courage, I shall be protected. And through my honor and sacrifice, another will rise in my place."
  • Rise to the Occasion - Faith is never lost, only repurposed.
  • First Blade of Wrynn - Valedictorian of knight school.
  • Lightbringer's Hammer - This entire city must be purged. Or at least just the minions.
  • Catacomb Guard - A little dark down here. So much for "serving the Light."
  • Noble Mount - The Horde rued the day that Cariel was allowed to take her pet to work.
  • Prismatic Jewel Kit - The divine trick to jewelcrafting is tumbling your own rocks.
  • Alliance Bannerman - Back in my day, we had to carry our inspiration uphill both ways to war.
  • City Tax - "Look pal, I don't care what kind of legion you saved the world from, pay up or else."
  • Blessed Goods - Guaranteed to contain no haunted dolls, cursed rings, or corrupted runeblades, or your money back.

New Rogue Cards

  • Maestra of the Masquerade - She doesn't drop character until after the DVD commentary.
  • Find the Imposter - My money is on the evil advisor to the king.
  • Counterfeit Blade - Don't worry, the blade retracts into the handle!
  • Garrote - "I don't have money… but what I do have is a particular set of skills."
  • SI:7 Assassin - You can't keep the streets clean if you're afraid to get your hands dirty.
  • Sketchy Information - "I trust the Forsaken as far as I can smell them. Which, I guess is actually pretty far."
  • SI:7 Extortion - "It's a dangerous world out there. It'd be a shame if your protection insurance were to suddenly run out…"
  • SI:7 Informant - Sitting in a tavern all day and looking scary is hard work, but somebody has to do it.
  • SI:7 Operative - What do you mean you're out of ponies?
  • Loan Shark - Pay up or you'll be swimming with the fishes.

New Shaman Cards

  • Bolner Hammerbeak - Show him how to do something once, and he can do it a thousand times. This turn.
  • Command the Elements - What, you expected a shaman to have trouble with a place called STORMWIND?
  • Tiny Toys - Mom, they're action figures!
  • Overdraft - Wait. It costs mana to be out of mana?!
  • Granite Forgeborn - If he stops being useful, just turn him into a kitchen countertop.
  • Charged Call - You have a collect call from "AL'AKIR, LORD OF AIR AND THE FOUR WINDS." Do you accept these charges?
  • Auctionhouse Gavel - "I want to be a judge! Or an auctioneer! Look, all I want is one of those sweet, tiny hammers."
  • Spirit Alpha - Just like in the natural world, the alpha of the species is bright purple.
  • Canal Slogger - "Another Monday in the canals huh? What a slog."
  • Investment Opportunity - "It's a real fixer-upper. I mean a REAL fixer upper."

New Warlock Cards

  • Anetheron - Leads every demonic invasion. Hopefully this one turns out better than the World Tree.
  • The Demon Seed - Just need some elbow grease to get this working. Oh, and your soul.
  • Entitled Customer - "Do you have any idea how much mana I've spent at your store? 6."
  • Dreaded Mount - This is the summoning that never ends, and it goes on and on my friends...
  • Runed Mithril Rod - "Please, I need these greens to disenchant them." —Every Enchanter Ever
  • Dark Alley Pact - "With your help, I can finally install some proper lighting in this alley."
  • Touch of the Nathrezim - "You're giving your soul to me? I'm touched."
  • Shady Bartender - One sin and tonic, coming right up.
  • Demonic Assault - Right next to the demonic pepper.
  • Bloodbound Imp - ALWAYS read the terms and conditions.

  • Lothar - Has been around since before there were paladins and those newfangled paladin mechs.
  • Raid the Docks - Winning the annual Ratchet Regatta really went to their heads.
  • Remote-Controlled Golem - Someone got a little too excited inventing a can opener.
  • Provoke - "Heh, Greetings. Heh, Greetings. Heh, Greetings. I will crush you!"
  • Cowardly Grunt - Cowardice is the wisest part of valor.
  • Cargo Guard - *Arrrrrmor
  • Shiver Their Timbers! - Who knew there was overlap between pirates and lumberjacks?

The 21.0 patch prepares the Tavern for United in Stormwind, launching August 3. It also brings a new Hero and cosmetics for Battlegrounds, a major update for Duels, an Arena rotation, and more.

Players with Battlegrounds Perks will have early access to Galewing before it's formally released on August 10.

 

Duels Updates

When the 21.0 patch goes live on July 27, all players’ Duels ratings will be reset and the pool of eligible cards you can use to build your 15-card start deck will be updated as follows:

NEW PASSIVE TREASURES

Party Replacement
  • At the start of your turn, summon a 2/2 Adventurer with a random bonus effect.

Inspiring Presence
  • After you play a Legendary minion, reduce the cost of a random minion in your hand by (1).

  • Your minions have +2/+2 but cost (2) more (up to 10).

Deathly Death!
  • After a friendly Deathrattle minion dies, destroy the minion with the lowest Health.

Ooops, All Spells!
  • At the start of the game, destroy all minions in your deck. Your spells cost (1) less and gain +2 Spell Damage.

The following cards have been banned from between-game card buckets and will not be Discoverable:

Other Banned cards:

  • Unstable Evolution is banned from card buckets but will still be Discoverable.
  • Maestra of the Masquerade is banned from deckbuilding, card buckets, and will not be Discoverable.

Seven new designer card buckets have been added as well:

  • Furious Fel (Demon Hunter)
  • AHHHH RATS!!!! (Hunter)
  • Fire!!! (Mage)
  • SI:7 (Rogue)
  • ARRRRRRG! (Warrior)
  • Auction House (Neutral)
  • Live to Win (Neutral)

Smart buckets have also been updated to include the two new card sets, and two previously missed card sets: Legacy (Classic/Basic) and Demon Hunter Initiate. Lastly, you’ll be able to find United in Stormwind cards in Duels card buckets after the patch goes live and before the expansion launches.

Arena Rotation

When United in Stormwind launches on August 3, the Arena will include cards from the following sets:

Book of Heroes Illidan – Coming August 10

But even as he journeyed far from his homeland and joined forces with new allies, the thirst for power never left him. It was only a matter of time before it interfered with his judgment, resulting in more dire consequences than ever before…Defeating all 8 bosses in this linear adventure will reward 1 Demon Hunter pack, containing only Demon Hunter cards from Standard.

United in Stormwind Rewards Track & Tavern Pass

When the Rewards Track refreshes when United in Stormwind launches, all players will automatically be granted any unclaimed rewards on both the free track and the Tavern Pass track (if purchased), and a completely new Rewards Track of unlockable loot will take its place.

Please note that incomplete Forged in the Barrens Gameplay achievements will no longer grant Reward Track XP once United in Stormwind releases on August 3, at which point the United in Stormwind Gameplay achievements will take over, so don’t forget to finish and claim those before you’ve left the Barrens.

The Forged in the Barrens Tavern Pass will expire with the launch of United in Stormwind and a new Tavern Pass will be made available for purchase—offering a host of brand-new cosmetic rewards and XP boosts.

As a reminder, Battlegrounds Perks are now available as a standalone purchase, separate from the Tavern Pass.

New Cosmetic Coins

Two new Cosmetic Coins are being added with United in Stormwind, the Stormwind coin and the Lordaeron coin. The Stormwind coin is obtainable by completing the first 90 levels of the Rewards Track with the Tavern Pass. The Lordaeron coin is obtainable by collecting 135 unique United in Stormwind cards.

Keep in mind that United in Stormwind will have a 35-card Mini-Set that will make it easier to reach both the 25 total United in Stormwind Legendary cards for the Archbishop Benedictus Diamond card reward and the 135 total United in Stormwind cards for the Lordaeron Cosmetic Coin. We’ll have more information to share about the United in Stormwind Mini-Set in the coming months.

Bug Fixes & Game Improvements

  • Fixed a bug where Shenanigans would not transform Soul Fragments into Bananas.
  • Fixed a bug where Wicked Stab could be upgraded by cards that temporarily increase mana.
  • Fixed a bug where Shan’do Wildclaw would not lay flat on the board.
  • Fixed a bug where Defender would not play its VO when summoned by Noble Sacrifice.
  • Fixed a bug where golden Soul of the Forest would not summon golden Treants.
  • Fixed a bug where golden Ancestral Spirit would not summon a golden minion.
  • Fixed a bug where golden Grave Rune would not summon golden minions.
  • Fixed a bug where golden Primal Talisman would not summon golden minions.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Y’shaarj’s Battlegrounds Hero Power would not take its newly summoned minion into account when deciding which warband attacked first.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Baron Rivendare was causing visual issues when in a warband with golden Kaboom Bot.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Galakrond’s Greed was missing a tooltip for Discover.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Come One, Come All! Was missing a tooltip for Discover.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Avatar of N’Zoth was missing a tooltip for Deathrattle.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Sprout It Out! Was missing a tooltip for Taunt.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Hero Powers for Aranna Starseeker, Infinite Toki, Millhouse Manastorm, Nozdormu, and Tess Greymane were missing a tooltip for Refresh.
  • Fixed a Duels bug where Diamond cards would only be Diamond in appearance for the first game of a run.
  • Fixed a Duels bug where Lone Champion and minions summoned by Gift of Luminance were not buffed by Hold the Line.
  • Updated the description of the Roguish Maneuvers Hero Power in Duels to be more accurate.
  • Fixed a bug with Book of Mercenaries Guff where A Party of Adventurers will cast Against All Odds, even if they have board control.
  • Fixed a bug where one of Lady Katrana Prestor’s emotes was showing incorrect text.
  • Searching “Refund” in the Collection will now populate with cards eligible for a dust refund.
  • Pressing and holding on the Rewards Track page arrows will now flip through the pages quickly.
  • Fixed a bug where if a player disconnected from a ranked match, they’d get a message stating they won their last ranked game upon relogging.
