After winning a bunch with very mediocre and useless cards. Obviously didn't really get it at the start, but luckily neither did my opponents, so just played for tempo and won, also, discovering the Queen every times helps a little.
Then I decided that I could've/should've just put together a weapon, buff it and just go face, so I did.
1x Waggle Pick
1x Deadly Poison
1x Tinker's Sharpsword Oil
1x Preparation
1x Goblin Auto-Barber
1x Naga Corsair
Worked pretty well.
After about 10 games, I came to the conclusion that the 6 card's decklist don't make much of a difference*. It is mostly about your starting hand, tempo and keeping a steady aggression. The moment you start playing defensively, you most likely have already lost.
*Some card, such as Vanish, Imp Gang Boss & Mal'Ganis - to only name a few - have noticeable effect
Cybertech Chip has been the MVP for me. Played on a full board, it refills your hand with mechs of a variety of cost. With the extra cards and the ability to play on curve and go face, it's easy to outclass their production. The dark horse award goes to Faceless Rager which gives you a 5/6 early in the game. Of course, you could always decide to play Warrior and Explore Un'Goro. Here's the deck I used:
Tried running Drakkari Enchanter to double up on attacks.
Didn't work. I guess Auto-Attack isn't considered an end of turn effect.
I won with a Kathrena Hunter:
Pretty standard game until turn-8, when I ramped up significantly. Kathrena's death -> Oondasta -> Charged Devilsaur + King Krush from hand was a sudden blast of damage they were ill-equipped to deal with.
The games I played were extremely long. I played a deck similar to, A smashing game of chess, that is listed above. I got the win after 3 or 4 attempts but in the game that I actually won I never played a hunter class card. Due to the games playing out as slow as they did, I would have to say this is not my favorite brawl.
Super fun: try Wailing Soul and Void Ripper. Make sure you've got a decent board of chess pieces on turn 7, then silence them all, swap them into 6/1's etc, then win. I run it in priest with Cleric, Shield, Circle and Binding Heal.
Used Divine Hymn, Holy Nova, Mind Control Tech, Cabal Shadow Priest, Forbidden Words, and Spirit of the Dead.
Inner fire does not work. Had to learn it the hard way. And I thought, this was a no-brainer :D
I put a few removal cards of priest into the deck, worked pretty well regardless (even without inner fire).
I made a druid deck full of board buffs and I was very disappointed when it did not work.
I used Daring Escape, Plaguebringer, Sap, Zilliax, Plague Scientist and Shadowstep. The bounces help you reposition your pieces, and some people insta-concede when they see the poisonous minions drop.
This worked like a charm for me - thanks!
Good card choices. Once you get poison minions in the center line, you pretty much control the board.
I Priested with Vargoth, the stealth guy that sends a 1/1 back after death, the lifesteal spell, a thoughtsteal spell, madam lazul and mind control. My oppo quit after my board stayed full and his whittled down.
won a few games with
Leeroy
Fireball
Sea Giant
Grim Patron
Skelemancer
Faceless Manipulator
the Patron is just there just because it seemed fun and should prolly be replaced with face damage. MCT is also worth considering
My game on NA was loooong. Hopefully will be better on EU and Asia if I bring a better deck.
