I hit level 100 earlier this week; currently at 108. Pretty smooth sailing with the purchased pass.
I chose to go with the Tavern pass and NO pre-order to see how that felt as far as gold earnings, pack earnings, and overall collection speed. I think it definitely kept the gold flowing well, and I was able to maintain a 3000+ balance despite not doing so well in Duels over the last 6 weeks. My collection and pack earnings seemed fine, as well. Though it's important to mention I have a massive build up of dust since I've been playing so long so I have the freedom to dust cards and craft epic or legendary cards as needed to round out any deck I want to play.
As a few mentioned already, the standard meta is pretty stale. I'm sick of playing vs. paladins with cards that have above-curve power levels in every mana slot. I have been ranking up in wild this month using ConcernedMom's Ragnaros deck, though I've worked in 2x Thrive in the Shadows to improve the chances to get copies of Shadow Essence.
Definitely seems messed up. Two hour progression bar for the first. But now the second drop looks like it's properly counting for only 1 hour. I did have to close Twitch completely. Once I jumped back on, it is now showing ~55% progression towards second pack.
I received one pack in game already.
Or not. Still counting and only went from 55% to 77% over the last 50 minutes. Small indie companies... :D

I still think this is too complicated. I've read it over and over. Can we simplify thing? Can we go back to the time where, if you're the best at playing, the highest chance you'll get being represented by the gaming industry whatever your gender is? That way, everyone has equal opportunity no?
There was no such time. The entire issue is that, if you are not a male, you don't have equal opportunity even when you're the best at playing. Also, you get shit on by troglodytes in any gaming space you choose to play just because you are not a male.
I purchased the pass. I will have less time to play now that it's spring and my kids have started sports again. I'll be curious to see what I hit this time with less lockdown time spent playing.
The cosmetics and quicker climb seem like a nice value so far.
Isn't it much harder to consistently trigger the quest in Duels? Especially as decks get thicker later on. Not to mention getting it in the first place from a bucket.
They are giving it more attention than I'd expected with the removal of certain treasures, although still a long way to go. But if they keep that up...
It seems very consistent early in runs b/c the deck is so thin. It can certainly go bad with buckets that don't hit. The feelsbadman is real, though, and it makes zero sense to have reverted it all the way back to original form.
Removing Cannibalism was a good choice. I am happy to see they are paying attention and balancing this format. However....
No discussion about what the hell they were thinking reverting The Caverns Below back to its severely busted, original form? I don't think I'll be playing Duels very much as long as that feelsbadman garbage is back.
I have had it hit on Bloodmage Thalnos and he did not pass on his draw deathrattle or the additional +1 spell damage. The next minion in the deck only got the original buff of +2 SD and deathrattle to pass the ability on to the next minion.
I have also had it hit on Sorcerous Substitute and the copy she spawned had the ability as well. That was fun... didn't really get to see much from there b/c my opponent conceded.
Looking like I'll hit 250 by the time it is done. Definitely more gold (though I've been spending it without tracking it) and tons of packs along the way (mostly thanks to Duels). I am 2 legendary minions and one Hysteria (dusted when nerfed, only got one back) short of a full collection for DMF. No other set has come that close, though my time spend playing has been way up due to pandemic life (or lack thereof).
First run of the new season, first ever 12 win duels run for me. There's only one thing to do in a moment like this.
My Royal Mukla Duels Paladin deck has been my favorite for duels. It was a work in progress from that original list, with big improvements (Echoing Ooze & Soggoth the Slitherer) coming in thanks to Avalon's great duels articles, and it got some serious love with the new rotation. Turns out Ragnaros the Firelord is pretty good. With a nod to Elise the Trailblazer and the good luck I had with treasures and buckets, it was a very lopsided run. The only loss was this brutal beatdown by a god-hand Shaman.
Love it! Unique cards like this are so awesome. Definitely strong but, as others have mentioned, may be difficult to deploy successfully, especially on curve.
What's the general consensus on disenchanting classic cards? Before rotation or after?
I haven't DE'd them since the news broke. I have a pair of duplicate legendary minions in classic now and wonder if it makes more sense to hold for a full refund or if we may see a situation similar to what happened with HoF cards in the past. (IE Sylvanas/Rags were auto-refunds but only for 1 copy so holding dupes wasn't advised.)
Loving these updates. Duels feels pretty solid right now with only Omu as a potential nerf target. Only being able to target friendly minions with Harvest Time! would be a great move, as it would prevent Druids from easily removing any taunt in the way of their relentless spam.
I made the mistake of copying Null_Poke's list above and then realized I don't have N'zoth... oops.

Currently at level 67.

Nerfed twice, then some genius decided reverting back to its original form was a good idea.

Mysterious Tome isn't working in Duels. No secrets get played at the start of the game. Multiple crashes in my one run... Blizz, Please!
Went 10-3 with this yesterday, bringing my average to 9.5 wins over my last 4 runs (8, 9, 11, 10) and a 6.3 average over 9 games.
I did add a Cult Master in place of the Haunted Creeper.

Rally the Troops is busted. So very, very busted.
Starting decklist is below, and I'll add when deckbuilder is updated.
First Day of School
Armor Vendor
Runic Egg
Echoing Ooze
Haunted Creeper
Hydrologist
Goody Two-Shields
King Mukla
Consecration
Rally!
Elise the Trailblazer
Royal Greatsword
Ragnaros the Firelord
Ragnaros, Lightlord
Turalyon, the Tenured
Soggoth the Slitherer
Awesome! Glad it helped. :)
Thanks! I 100% failed to recognize that
Um, why is this not written as Spellburst?

Holy hell that is one insanely greedy Big Paladin deck. High roll or end with less than 3 wins.
Classic small indie company giving the exact same name to two cards. Plaguebringer.
