Thanks for trying it. Warlock has 2 really good decks right now. Definitely a tough matchup b/c they can play faster. Greatsword buried at the bottom really hurts in any MU.

Spell schools is exciting. That'll add a layer of complexity and strategy for deck building.

Total stud that will be a huge boost to The Marsh Queen. I loved messing around with that quest...

^ You've got the concept right. A+ for comprehension based on context!

The hand dump with lethal already on the board. The Play Every Card In Hand instead of simply using that Fireball for lethal.

While I often consider this BM as well, I also have to remind myself that sometimes I also do this.  Usually when I do it it's because a) The opponent has been BM'ing, roping, etc all game long like you said.  Or b) I have a quest of "Play X cards" and needlessly dumping some things from hand helps me complete that quest, or fulfill an achievement for XP gain

That's a good point now that the XP portion has been added. I've also seen players note that they like to see what the opponent had in hand so they don't see it as BM at all.

I don't do those (unless my opponent has been a turd all game) or the other mentioned, but I will do the Top Decked copy of a card as a rage trigger. Guilty. :D

    No Pass

    lvl 109

    3200 gold

Track really feels good.  I usually end an expansion at 2k gold. I'm over 3k and bought the mini-set with gold. So I have more gold than before, I have at least 1 new skin (lvl50), and have more legendaries than normal thanks to the mini-set. I didn't change my play or hunt achievements. Definitely enjoying it. Depending on the skins next set I may buy the pass.

I had no plans to hunt achievements but have found it to be a fun diversion from typical ladder play once I hit D5. It surprised me, honestly. Lots of things about the Reward Track that I didn't really care about but are turning into positives.

    *************

Thanks to those of you that provided tips on the DH one. I don't even recall getting the first 7 of 10. Must have been in a duel or dungeon run? Only 2 left so why not....

169 with no pass purchased. I have one daily and one weekly still so it'll be 171 once I finish those. I've been holding steady at 3500 gold or more despite my many Heroic Duels entries so it feels like more than the normal gold saved from one expac to the next, especially since my average there is under 5 (vs 5.5-6 in Arena during past expacs).

Let me just say that I hate, hate, hate the Not So Lonely achievement (end your turn with a Redeemed Pariah with 10 attack or higher in play). 8/10 on that one and it's brutally stupid. They don't last until the next turn so you literally have to play the pariah plus 8 outcast cards on the same turn. Not well designed, especially since you must run all the small cost outcast cards and then proceed to sit on them turn after turn to build your hand big enough.

The nostalgia will definitely be fun. I'll probably go with Handlock or Wallet Warrior just to enjoy the fun of control when it had a bit better chance to maintain control. Far less OTK, far less swarm (because minions were way less sticky), and less resource generation (discover, shuffle into deck, etc.) available to opponents.

I always hated zoo, though. Not sure how long a stint I'll be able to do without getting retro-raged-out. lol

I guess I'll try out some of the classics since I've only joined some time around Blackrock Mountain. As a Hunter main that certainly means Undertaker Hunter, but I'm also curious about Patron Warrior and Miracle or Oil Rogue.

No Undertaker, as he was Curse of Naxxramas. Face hunter is still on the table, just without the 1 drop that accelerated insanely.

As an f2p player who joined HS during Kobolds and Catacombs, I am really looking forward to being able to experience what HS was like at the beginning. What cards and decks are you guys and gals going to be playing when it releases?

I'm probably going to be messing around with some cards which get their nerfs reverted like Warsong Commander.

You may be disappointed by Warsong Commander in a true vanilla meta. The nerf was due to an interaction with Grim Patron and Frothing Berserker that allowed warrior to build a board of patrons that all had charge to hammer away and trigger Frothing.

There will tons of Zoolock featuring 3/2 Knife Juggler, lots of freeze mage, and plenty of Force of Nature druid. The warrior deck of choice will likely be Wallet Warrior, which is full on control and resource depletion. Miracle Rogue... not sure I want to go back to any of that. lol

Last night, after tanking back to the rank floor once again, I switched back to Ramp Pally and went on a 6-game win streak. Several of you have noted the strengths of this deck over the control Warlock, and you were right. Plus the deck is really fun. I have to admit that a turn 4 Alura-coin-TiptheScales feels really unfair, but if it wins games, I'm doing it.

Most of my matches yesterday were against Weapon Rogue and Gibberling Druid, and Ramp Pally does much better against both. Does anyone else think that Nitroboost Poison is problematic? At 1 mana, it's way too easy to corrupt and yields too much value combined with Self-Sharpening Sword.

Definitely a good choice. The horde of primes from Envoy Rustwix shenanigans is tons of fun but there really aren't any great builds for it. Any deck doing that is at a disadvantage in the meta. If you enjoy playing a top tier deck, that's the best course of action. Get that card back and move on!

Good luck! Reaching legend is definitely a matter of time played, as long as you are fairly competent with your chosen deck.

I've been playing a ton of my own build for Envoy Rustwix and love shuffling in multiple copies of random primes. Mine doesn't run either of the gods you have, but I find 1x Felosophy is enough since it requires one of only a few demons to be in hand. Maybe remove one in favor of Kanrethad Ebonlocke? An extra minion to fight aggro early with a tremendous benefit when you need the late game shenanigans. Having never played your version, I certainly could be missing the logic behind not playing him, though.

Full disclosure: I reached legend once and have never tried again. It's just not an enjoyable grind for me.

Really cool designs. I love the winning back most, can't wait to see it in the game.

    Monkey King took some luck.

Garrosh seems completely impossible. Any tips on the MU after Monkey King? I can't keep anything on board or keep up with his board. There's not enough time to pull off an OTK (and I don't see the resources to actually do that, anyway, since Garrosh builds up armor easily). Even the bigger minions die to one swing of Gorehowl. Popping a Mass Resurrection doesn't give enough power to win, either.

Rough set of quests for anyone who does not enjoy the variety of modes offered for Hearthstone play! Speaking for myself, I would be happy to never "have" to play another battleground or duel ever again. And if wild or casual is your bag you're left entirely in the cold.

It's reasonable that they want to direct players into each mode with quests. I like a bit of variety, personally. I Don't like BG but I queued into that, went AFK for a few minutes, and ended up getting the packs and a Windlord achievement. \o/

I've been playing concernedmom's deck since this article brought it to my attention and it's now at the top of my list of favorite decks ever. RNGesus loves to punish me by making me draw Rags on turn 4/5 just as I'm ready to play Shadow Essence, but it's well worth it.
