I can't imagine that the folks in Irvine sat on their hands and chose not to call their Chinese friends to talk about it. Pessimistic as it is of me to say, I think that if Blizz planned to do anything but pray that it blows over in time for the Con, they'd have done it by now.
Didn't love Admirable before, but I certainly have more respect for him now. I honestly can't see how the other casters are doing the mental gymnastics required to say "This thing is bad. And what my employer did was really wrong, but I'm staying anyway". I seriously hope that they don't try to portray it as a principled stance later.
While I continue to have hope that Blizzard will come to its senses, I would at this point call it a fool's hope. And I suspect I'll be removing Hearthstone from more than just my phone in the next day or two. No point leaving it installed if they're not changing their minds.

I've spent several hundred on this game. I still love it. And now I'm seriously considering walking away from everything Blizzard. I really enjoy their fandoms but this is insane.
I can't dispute that they're in the right to censure Blitzchung. Their platform, their rules, so fine. But to hard ban him and zero out his pay, as well as nuke the casters? (Yes, I'm aware they encouraged him to repeat what he said in Mandarin.) That's a little much.
There's a bunch of other games that have been calling for my attention. I would miss Hearthstone and this community, but maybe it's time.
It's a hard choice for me. The two that stick out in my mind was the first time playing Reno the Relicologist against a Shaman's board of Murlocs. Hearing him yell "We're gonna have some fun!" with the triumphant League of Explorers theme, wiping a board with a gatling wand and then watching my opponent concede was awesome.
There have also been several perfect Zephrys the Great lethals, including one last night where a hard, aggressive push with my Murloc Paladin deck against a buddy left him at 8, but I was pretty well out of gas. Had just enough life to hold on to use that Pyroblast that my genie bud was so kind to provide.
Not entirely. Some of us who gave up Hearthstone but stuck with Out of Cards are hoping they burst into Mythgard.
