Thank you for the chance to win something. Here is a flavor-lore heavy deck that I'll surely try to get a win with, hope the guide is enough. Good luck to everyone.

Worked for me, i would buy them one by one as i got a standard legendary in a third one. Wild one was in tenth. So it should work.

But if I am not mistaken the standard packs could have been bought in a shop for real money before, so beware if you bought that.

1 mana draw a card with tutor potencial on a body for a class with restricted card draw. Easy 5 stars.

My favorite race (dwarf) for my favorite class (hunter) could not be happier.

If the next reward track offers this guy, I guess that Blizzard finaly found a way to open my wallet :)

Also the surname Stormpike seems to point at Alterac Valley for an expansion.

Would be nice to still have Lucentbark in standard for this.

Good idea to have a place for all reactions.

First of I am really surprised how small the core set actualy is, hearing the number of cards is one thing, but seeing it live...

I had counted with each class getting at least 2 legendaries, and the neutral spots are too overcrowded with Dragons, the same ones we saw in several versions already, that is just boring.

I am not a fan of butchering the small Charge cards, moving them to Wild would be ok, but I am still not sure if both versions are changed or not, but I enjoyed both Anyfin Pally and Handbuffcopy Boar Hunter decks. Also gonna miss Houndmaster, Unleash the Hounds, Tundra Rhino...

DH - no thoughs yet, I do not play or like the class that much. From lore perspective it is sad that both satyrs are leaving.

Druid - Surprised that Cenarius (hoped for Fandral Staghelm or Lucentbark - I hated how they printed him and then ruined an expansion later with Plague of Death) and Ancient of War (Deserved a buff, at least) stayed. The set looks quite weak withous Swipe and charge on the Druid of the Claw would definitely not ruin the game.

Hunter - I do not like to have Bearshark and Dire Frenzy in a single core set, it is quite anti - synergistic, Houndmaster did the job well. The new card seems too 1 dimensional, bringing back Stitched Tracker would work better for me, I guess Highmane, as well as Barrens Stablehand stayed because of the theme of the expansion. On second though, seems like Selective Breeder / Dire Frenzy paves a way for a certain hunter deck this year. Maybe even something for Beastmaster Leoroxx.

Mage - Never liked Frostbolt, but it is too iconic in my opinion. Archmage Antonidas was the nostalgia from WC3 campaign, alongside Goldshire Footman and Ironforge Rifleman, sad to see them gone. Footman and Rifleman deserve a buff if they are gonna be lost in wild. Back to mage - Flamestrike as a 5 damage epic seems weird. Arcanologist prevents Wild player from escaping a feeling of facing another Secret Mage, hate that. Do not like random Babbling Book stuff either.

Paladin - Recruits seem to pushed, Warhorse Trainer (unneeded buff) and Equality now enforce ODD PALLY in WILD even more. Hoped for Bellringer Sentry. Glad for the Guardian of Kings buff, now it can actualy guard someone.

Priest - Love to see Shadow Word: Pain go, sad for Inner Fire. Crimson Clergy seems interesting to me, maybe I'll try Priest this expansion.

Rogue - Sprint is probably still too weak, with Secret Passage around, [Hearthstone Card (Assasin's Blade) Not Found] seems really weird at 2 attack.

Shaman - Al'Akir buff is most likely too small. Hoped for some more Elemental synergy.

Warlock - Tiny Knight of Evil seems to lack support, Jaraxxus does not look right as a Hero card. No Voidwalker? Flame Imp, realy? Lakkari Felhound is also weird there.

Warrior - No Shield Block, no Kor'kron Elite, Little Enrage enablers. Fiery War Axe should have returned to 2. War Cache reminds me too much of a certain Hunter card. Really sad for no Magni's side representation, just a band of Horde there.

Neutral - Hoped Hogger would receive a buff, Taelan Fordring seems quite good, (nice lore flavor with potencionaly drawing Tirion to action on death.) Glad for BGH buff, Yetti stayed, but Silverback Patriarch and Boulderfist Ogre, gone? Rager replacement is insulting to poor Magma guy and irrelevant for the game. No idea why Young Priestess stayed. New pirate seems too good.

Will update this posts with more later.

This card stayed just because of the new expansion (Barrens), right?

Ok, thank you for all replies. I have now three diferent versions to show you:

The first one is the original - no change

The second one is the alternate suggestion version

and the third one is a completely diferent version that represents the Battlecries of Shaman and the Deathrattles of Hunter.

I've tried to edit the color palette of the art a little bit in each one (according to TheHoax91 (Unique, but welcomed feedback)- since you've used BasilAnguis name twice in your review I guess that the first one refered to my card.) I would like to also hear an opinion on that posible colorchange.

    Now for some feedback:

    Show Spoiler

linkblade91 - Edwin the Revolutionary - (As Wandering Monk was probably already scapper) - I do like the version, which stats resemble the original Edwin. As for which version the first version (Combo: Weapons too) looks somewhat more pleasing to the eye, the second one (whole Combo) is probably more balanced.

shaveyou - Veterinary Student - I do like the flavor of this card and as this would be released alongside more cards of this dual class combination even priest would probably receive some more support. The 1 - Cost version looks more versalite so I do tend to like it more.

KANSAS - Street Magician - The second version is definitely more clean and flavorful, the art is, at least in my opinion a little bit too much unspecific. I would like to see art change there.

BloodMefist - Sacred Stag - I like the overall idea and I think that the 3-Cost version looks the best out of them. I tend to agree that Rush would kind of ruin this card so I would keep it as it is.

bananenparty - Baby Amalgam - I agree with others that the card is currently under powered and a little bit boring. The Bipolar Elemental is better, but it should probably heal for more.

Elfensilver - Ride Down - I do like the third art the most. The name seems a little weird - I would imagine something like Cavalry Training instead.

Demonxz95 - Radiant Conjurer - I prefer the Shaman (Blue) - Paladin (Yellow) version myself. The effect nicely fits with both classes Hero Powers and being even costed looks like you care for wild.

MrRhapsody - Felwood Satyr - Nice, simple, fitting. Nothing more to add.

RealJC1234TheToonist - Karaak, Legion Redeemer - The name seems somewhat a little clunky and I would prefer to see this effect on a cheaper minion - 6 mana limits its usefulness.

grumpymonk - Moonlit Peacekeeper - Perfect fit, I do like this as it is.

Nirast - Arms of the Wild - I guess the first version was okay, but the second one is still balanced enough. I also tried to come up with something that would combine War/Druid and Armor fit the best. Weapons in druid should not be that much of a problem nowadays.

DestroyerR - Corrupted Nature - Quite the basic of Druid/Warlock. Seems well balanced.

anchorm4n - Spirit Huntress - I also like both deathrattle Hunter and Rogue and combining them of that seems like a decent fit. The second version is stronger, less wordy and thus looks cleaner. I think it looks good now.

BasilAnguis - Sanctum Deffender - Seems a tad bit wordy at least for a rare card. Since it is deffender it can retain Taunt even after it enters Stealth. I would also like to see different art.

Sinth - Lord Walden - Even though I like to see a WoW lore character being represtented I do not think that going full random is a good idea.

Shivershine - Spawn from Shadow - Sorry, but I just can't stay the idea of more "fellow humans". The card also has some dangerous combo potencial

thepowrofcheese - Silent Alarm - The card looks nice and balanced the only problem as already someone mentinoned is the color of the secret altough I guess it is not a big deal (for Hunter it will be green and for Rogue black, random effects might choose random of the two.) But maybe you can think of a better name.

TheHoax91 - Tome of Insight - I do not like the idea of giving Libram Paladin possible acces to soo much burn. Also the Discover part would make it realy lenghty and boring for your oppoent (wait till you play *9* spells - each takes its animation and then you Discover *9* times and then you probably still want to cast at least 1 more spell…

And finaly as someone asked I do not think that it is a bad idea to use Scholomonace border it the card fits the theme - think of it like alternative or expansion of the oficial expansion. No one said they never teached those in Scholomance :).

Here comes my idea. This time it was kind of challenging to think of something fiting, to be honest.

Yeah another dwarf, but I was kind of disappointed that they had prefered to choose a Tauren or a plenty of Night Elves as teachers (did not make much of a sense lore-wise) and not a single dwarf (my guess was Paladin/Warrior back then).

This minion also references the Doyle clan of Wildhammer Dwarves, which was unfortunately wiped out in WoW: Cataclysm so we never had the chance to see them anywhere (except one in Battle for Azeroth).

From the gameplay standpoint in highlander hunter it is quite strong with Siamat (Rush/Windfury/Divine Shield all at once) and also King Krush (Maybe that is a bit too strong, but I have not seen a Highlander playing Shan'do Wildclaw with Dinotamer Brann a single time.)

Shaman would not have to rely just on a Neutral Beasts, beacause they have acces to [Hearthstone Card (The Lurker Bellow) Not Found].

Alternative Design - Cheaper Mana Cost, but the effect is only for one turn - easier to track the effect: 2 mana 3/2 - Battlecry: Give the next Beast you play this turn Windfury and the next Elemental Rush.

    Feedback coming later today.

    Thanks for your feedback.

I too tend to like the 2/1 statline more.

As for the name - how about a Petcaller or Novice Petcaller? It would be more flavorful, I guess.

I'll try to enlargen the card text to have 1 more word on the line. Unique, but welcomed opinion.

    OK, here comes my idea:

Beast Companions are Misha, Leokk and Huffer, of course.

    Alternatives I considered are:

    1 mana 2/1 - same effect

    1 mana 1/1 - Spellburst: Discover a Beast Companion.

    What do you think?

I choose this because of the following reasons:

1, Represents an underrepresented WoW faction - Wildhammer Dwarf. So far in Hearthstone there is only 1 collectible card that could be considered a Wildhammer - Untamed Beastmaster.

2, It works for the possible Companion Archetype - unexplored hunter design space, one that I would like to see.

    Feedback:

    Show Spoiler

Demonxz95 - Inexperied Shifter - nice card, the art fits very well the effect and it is simple enough to be a common card. I would not change anything about it.

BloodMefist - Nosy Newbie - An alright card, the original art looks maybe too dark for Hs. I would go with the second one.

KANSAS - Bluegill Fisher - Hits and eats, nice flavorful and balanced, in my opinion.

linkblade91 - Hoticulture Teacher - 1/3 that guarantees a turn 2 play is a little bit much for me. 1/2 might be more in line. Altough if you realy want to push an old archetype back (Which I approve of) it is quite possible okay.

R - Accursed Pupil - 1 mana 2/1 unconditional Discover is definitely too strong. Some condition should be implemented. But the flavor is quite good.

grumpymonk - Glaive Trainer - This effect should not exist as a passive on a DH 1 - drop. Maybe as a 2/1 with Battlecry for this turn only.

Cg8889 - Dark Art Sacrifice - Already published so I do not think any feedback is necessary. My only suggestion would be a name change, which you did.

frosthearth - Ace Apprentice - Probably balanced, but I not like the idea of more Devolving Missiles or Ray of Frost generated from this.

Hordaki - Tiny Tutor - Already published so I do not think any feedback is necessary. Draw is something Paladin could use more. Condition balances it quite well.

Conduit - Fel Kitten - Encourages building a different DH just as a standalone card. Nice, I like it.

anchorm4n - Archwitch's Apprentice - 1/2 would work better I think. Especialy since Warlock already got one 1/3 in Scholomance.

Elfensilver - Nearsighted Bully - Only wrong enemies should work well enough. Friendly possible targets make this too weak.

MrRhapsody - Luck Shifter - Maybe a too complicated for a common. 1/3 is not a fiiting statline in my opinion.

thepowrofcheese - Accident-Prone Apprentice - I think it is balanced, just the name seem weird to me.

GoliathTheDwarf - Moonking Hatchling - Already published so I do not think any feedback is necessary. Nice simple and relatively strong card.

MenacingBagel - Explosive Learner - I do not much like this design. I do not know how to adjust it to my liking though. :)

Nirast - Silver Hand Trainer - It goes for too much for a common 1 drop I think. At minimum it is a 2/3 worth of stats. Also the should probably be then, i think. A 1/1 that buffs itself for each recruit should work just fine in my opinion.

Okay, I have left my personal thoughts on all of your cards in my other post.

Please, if anything sounds weird or rude - it is not meant to sound that way - I am not good at writting even in my language (which is not English, of course).

The expansion looks great so far and I would like to see more of what ideas you have in store.

And do not be a Blizzard and include some dwarves. :)

    Nice to see an update.

For the following mount names I would take inspiration from the Loas of Rastakhan.

    DH - Shrieker the Felbroken

    Druid - Lunarwing the Owl

    Hunter - Wolfhawk the Loyal

    Priest - Lightsworn the Seeker

    Shaman - Tempest the Raging

    Warrior - Bloodthirst the War-Wyrm

For the paladin one I would just stay with Valorous or Valorous the Divine (as steeds in WoW - Invincible mount of Arthas, Steadfast mount of Uther, Reverence mount of Anduin)

I would keep Rogue and Warlock the way they are.

And as for Mage, I do not know you probably should think of a fitting name similalry to Mech legendaries.

I will try to leave some feedback on the new cards later today.

EDIT: Sorry, took longer than expected but here are some of my thoughts (Will continue as soon as possible):

    Demon Hunter

    Show Spoiler

Kor'vas Bloodthorn - Although I do not like the idea of expanding highlander decks, I would say that the card falls in line with other similar ones. Bonus points for Kor'vas being a real WoW character.

The Felbroken Shriekerer - Nice easy effect to showcase the new Mechanic. Relatively good card that encourages building slower DHs which is a good thing.

    Druid

    Show Spoiler

The Lunarwing Owl - I guess that the Moonfires get the bonus of Spell Damage. If so then it is a strong standalone card that allows you to explore Spell Damage in druid more, something I think would make sense for a druid direction (I also tried to work with Spell Damage Druid archetype). That being said I would like to see more of that for Druid in your expansion.

Jade Sculptor - As for the Jade Sculptor the first option is a nice little discount, but I wonder if 4 damage would not be more balanced for the second one. 5 sounds a little too high, especialy with the Choose one effect attached.

Suprise Attack - Now that is a card I think is a tad too strong. It is esentialy a 1 mana 2/2 Rush or a 2 mana 4/4 and so on. Maybe it would be interesting if it would have higher base mana, but that would probably break the Forbidden cycle of cards. I would at least like to see the Rush removed.

Force of the Forest - I do not think that 4 mana 5/5 would be problematic and 2 3/2 are already proven to be ok for a 4 mana Choose One spell. A nice and simple Druid card.

Balance - A simple card that hides so much possibilites and even tries to encourage different deck building to have fun with. One of my personal favorites so far.

Wisdom of the Forest - I do not have much to say about this card, only that I am not too sure about the name, but maybe the Choose one option names would fill that.

    Hunter

    Show Spoiler

The Loyal Wolfhawk - I do understand that by ovestating the minion you try to enable it to trigger its Stamina succesfuly. Yet I do not think that giving Hunters acces to a 3 mana 3/6 Beast with an upside is necessarily a good idea (even as a Hunter main). I would suggest at the very least lower the attack by one.

Pandaren Beastmaster - A quite pleasant card to look at. A nice combination of fitting art and specialized hunter (Beasts) version of a classic Pandaren. Also has quite a few synergies in Hunter already as Dispatch Kodo and that new 1/1 that summon a copy of itself. Would still like to see at least one more in the expansion.

    Mage

    Show Spoiler

The Prismatic Disc - Other than the name I do not think that there is anything bad about this card (Maybe you could somehow incorporate Antonidas name as it was his invention). I would like to see a different approach to Mage than Spell Damage though.

Arcane Arts Instructor - A flavorful and simple maybe a bit on the weaker side. As we had a 4/3 that was also an Elemental and did not require another minion. So maybe a 4/4 could be OK.

Mana Surge Wyrm - A nice alternative to the original Mana Wyrm that is not as snowbally in the early game.

    Paladin

    Show Spoiler

The Valorous Charger - Good fit for a Paladin. Luckily it is even costed (would fear odd pally in wild).

Deffender of the Weak - The best defense is a good offense, I see. The card looks strong, probably great arena card.

Aggresive Meditation - I still think that the card is too weak. I would at least make it give +4 attack.

Golden Hatchling - Dragon Paladin never realy succeeded. This might help, while also being good as an aggresive tool. Also a nice way to simply showcase a new mechanic.

    Priest

    Show Spoiler

The Lightsworn Seeker - I do not like this card. It is overstated and the effect is not interesting enough for a legendary.

    Rogue

    Show Spoiler

The Shadowblade - Interesting, strong rogue stealth support card. Should probably be a Beast though.

Bounty Huntress - Flavor-wise it is a fit for Rogue. However I do think it is too weak as a 5 - Cost. Maybe lowering the stats and cost to something like a 3-drop would be better.

    Shaman

    Show Spoiler

The Raging Tempest - Shaman already has stron AoE cards, this would just join them. Maybe it would be more interesting to Overload you if it goes off so your opponent can make some more decision making.

Blademaster - It is rather a Warrior card name, maybe somethink like Windwalker would work better. This card is also absurdly dangerous as just a Rockbitter Weapon is enough for a 20 damage. I would like to see this card coming later 6 or 7 mana at least.

Sword Practice - Intersting. While the delayed effect makes it weaker so 1 mana could be ok.

Deep Sea Predator - Bigger Big Game Hunter reprint, okayish card.

Cloud Serpent Conjurer - Back in KoFT there was a similar 5 drop that worked for all minions, so this most likely balanced. However Conjuring sounds more like summoning something or a copy of something. This effect is more necromantic I think.

    Warlock

    Show Spoiler

The Wrathsteed - I do not like so much variety of possible outcomes that this card offers. I would like to see a different effect for this one. Also should probably be a Demon.

    Warrior

    Show Spoiler

The Bloodthirsty War Wyrm - Another unnecessarily overstatted minion. 4/5 is fair enough. Give the classes alternate ways to protect their minions. Something like Choose a Minion. When it would take damage next turn your Hero takes it instead, or something like that.

Pandaren Fury - A Warrior alternative of [Hearthstone Card (Savage Roar) Not Found]. Simple, but effective.

Guardian of the Vale - Strong, simple, flavorful. Nothing else to say.

    Neutral

    Show Spoiler

Fioral - I was realy surprised to find this character at WoW Gamepedia. To be honest I did not know it existed - and given the description it kinda makes sense to be marked as a Beast. The card itself, as it is, would quite likely never see any play. The effect is nice but maybe on an Oasis Snapjaw statline.

Nalak, the Storm Lord - I think I have already mentioned it, but I do not like wide random generation. I would like to see a more unique design for a legendary. Maybe gaining from a selected few, or repeating for playing specified spells, or just something more.

Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent - Cost reduction can be a dangerous think, but right now I can't think of any game breaking combo interactions, so I guess it is fine. Homewer thinking more about Yuľon - she would make, from lore perspective, a good Deathrattle: Go Dormant minion. And maybe she could heal your Hero whenever she awakens or something. Just an Idea.

Onyx Egg - A good addition to all the other Egg cards. I like it.

Rockdrake - Nice early game dragon with a little bit of healing is a welcomed sight, I guess.

Moving Bar - If by switching sides means joining the opponent then this card is quite an interesting one. Making it basicaly Unkillable by minion combat, except by giving it Rush and letting the player compete who could take more advantage of it or waste a spell or a Battlecry to destroy it.

Egg Flitcher - Probably just an anti-egg tech card. Serves the common neutral slot quite well.

Good job and keep the cards coming.

I always like to see new custom expansions, especialy those that fit with Warcraft lore.

Firstly, good job so far the theme fits HS quite well.

As for the minor issues, apart from those already mentioned (Except the Legendary names - I have to mention this as I play HS because of iconic legendaries that fill up the lore of my decks and I am always sad to see something like [Hearthstone Card (Boogeymonster) Not Found] or Blackhowl Gunspire to waste a precious legendary slot) my only other small problem is in the Keyword's name. Stamina, in my opinion is not intuitive enough, there should be other words that capture it better (something like outlast/survive or whatever).

As for the cards I, too am against using another Alex, but the Jade Serpent Yu'lon might fit your effect quite well.

Also Aggresive Meditation is quite weak, in my opinion, if you compare it to Blessing of Might.

As you are in Pandaria you should mention its other iconic races - Mogu, Jinyu, Hozen, Grummle and so on. I do know that finding art for them is rather a challenge. Maybe this site has something you can use: http://www.blizz-art.com/tag/300/serpent-nuage/

That said, well done and keep the cards coming.

I was also thinking about posting my custom set, but with the expansion reveal today I think I'll wait a little.

    • Your favourite Hearthstone moment from 2019:

      Battleground, no doubt.

    • The one Hearthstone thing you are looking forward to most in 2020:

I hope and look forward to see some nice dwarven-themed cards.

A new way for Zoo and I think that it is quite a strong one. Given that Galakronds are free, this will surely see decent amount of play.

12 hand limit is great but not as great late in the game. Drawing that much in warlock might just be to much. I think it will not see much play.

Strong enough for including in a dragon package in a deck. Not strong enough to create a Dragon Warlock archetype.

3 mana 5/3  in three small bodies at minimum, will only see play in Galakrond deck. Without the imps and galakrond not worth playing at all.
