I expect a considerable number of neutral minions and 1-2 cards for each class: definitely, not all 23 will be on the level of N'Zoth or Rag, and these addition will presumably help to bring niche classes like Warlock and Mage to see more play.
Given that we're discussing "what if" scenarios, maybe they could temporary add a new section to the Collection Manager (do you remember the "Featured Cards" after the Rise of Mechs patch?), giving the instructions at the beginning and at the end of this event (just like when you nerf cards) so that players are aware of what is happening and can play having in mind what will happen.
I'm just saying, there could be a better solution or even a better idea.
I don't want to sound greedy or unreasonable, but I would have loved to have the chance to, let's say, keep one of those 23 cards (maybe not even a Legendary if you don't want to) , being that an encouragement for actually investing into Wild. I mean, something like SN1P-SN4P but for Wild.

Thanks for the source on that. Super lame. Also super lame how people are so attached to the feeling of obtaining stuff being dependent on others not having it. I don't care if they give out free cards even if they are cards I already own. I want more people to play more variety of formats it is good for the game.

Besides it, I totally agree with you: I don't have a full collection, but let's say that I don't have to grind that much if I want to reach Wild high ranks. That beings sad, it's likely that some of those 23 cards are in my collection, but I'd never oppose to the idea of everyone keeping them.
People with full collection probably feel as if their dust (previously spent on, let's say, Rag) had lost some of its original value: I can understand that feeling, although I don't share it at all.

It's been 6 months since the last time I was at rank 20ish with my main account, but from what I remember the situation is hellish there. Climbing from 16-12 is much (I can't stress it enough) easier than passing the 20-17 segment.
I'm not talking about netdecking and I'm totally aware of the existence of Whizbang the Wonderful's recipes, but there seem to be an abnormal amount of experienced players farming at low ranks. Two weeks ago I tried some ladder with my adventures account and man, being new and with a deck full of niche/basic cards must be painful.
I don't know if these are actually bots or real players, but if you're not good at the game (and you aren't supposed to be that good at rank 20, right?) you'll probably end up as fresh meat for this people, making your ladder experience terrible.
Yeah, this doesn't happen with a 100% ratio (the golden portrait, as zoobernut said, is a product of time commitment more than ability to play), but still the rank 20-16 belt should be a protected environment, allowing you to slowly switch from the Rank 50-25 "how does the game work?" zone to the Rank 15- "let's start playing competitively" zone.
Just my honest opinion: I don't have to deal with this situation nowadays, but it would be foolish not to acknowledge it
The Injured Tol'vir in the thumbnail looks kinda gore: it hurts my sensitivity as both player of children's card games and person living in 2019.
I demand a bandage nerf followed by official excuses by whoever was in charge of this article.

I spilled my coffee here. Anyways, I agree: as I keep saying, I'd gladly let them take away Northshire Cleric and Divine Spirit for a new playable evergreen set (not overpowered, just playable and with cards that can possibly fit into strong decks without causing a community uproar)
I personally don't know what articles Hearthpwn publishes (I've never gone to that website since I came here), but I use Reddit a lot and there are actually things worth to be noted in a dedicated post that you don't highlight.

I seriously doubt that they will bring back Deathstalker Rexxar, especially if you consider than Hunter is not in a bad spot (Highlander Hunter is considered tier 1 in today's Vicious Syndicate data report).
