While some "Hearthstone personalities" were saying Dr. Boom "is no Troggzor", as in not as strong, more than a few competitive players recognized his potential, with one naming top 3 cards of the set "Dr. Boom, left boombot, right boombot".
The card was only Underhyped by a few people, although, these were people that a lot of the community listens to.
Play normal until 8 gold, then whenever you find a minion with a strong ability (like Divine shield) you buy every other minion in the tavern, then sell them back (possibly along with any other worthless minion) so that a ton of hats drop on that one minion and then you buy it.
On later turns, after your board is already strong, you can buy junk minions and then freeze the good one so that you can sell two turns worth of cards on a single minion.
P.S. It is easier to do this specifically on tavern tier 3, because on higher tiers there are too many minions and it needs a bit more advanced decision making, which comes with experience.
I don't think any particular strategy stands out as overpowered right now, there are however large power gaps between heroes.
I'd like to see Deathwing and Dancing Daryl nerfed as they are easy top4s (and often top2) with minimal effort.
On the other hand some heroes like Lord J and Patchwerk are just bad and it seems like Milhouse isn't just some hero people haven't figured out, but simply weak.
Finally i'd like to see Rafaam leave the BGs as i find him extremely unfun to play against.
The Quest Paladin deck is still functional without Kangor's and Tirion, making it a deck with only two legendaries. It's worth a try, especially if you already have most of it.

"The card that single-handedly made Lifecoach quit Hearthstone in favor of Gwent"
Yeah, I'm sure that was the reason, not the fact that he could not keep up, and his viewers were starting to realize that he was mediocre.
There is no way that this card is not getting nerfed in the first wave.
It's beyond broken. It should not even have been made.
It looks like a good finisher for Cyclone mage.
I hope no ridiculous OTK deck gets discovered because it would be a shame for such a cool card to get nerfed.
The Macaw change is not enough.
The card turns the game into pure casino, where whoever gets to go first, deals 15-20 dmg to the opponent.
Dragons in constructed are centered around having one in hand, so they are almost all new cards in BGs.
I don't think that is really a problem. Too many creature types might start becoming one however.

My favourite moment of 2019 was the release of Hearthstone Battlegrounds.
What I'm most looking forward to in 2020 is the optimization we were promised so i can play BGs on my phone as well.

Da Undatakah can often be overkill while Tirion is too slow.
I find that it is better to run Jepetto Joybuzz or Siamat or even no big guy at all and use the slot for more removal.
